How exactly do you see your Trueskill ranking? Just about every 360 game mentions it, and has 'ranked matches' so you can raise it, but how do you know how good you are?

same here... I see it in all the arcade games, but hear it's used for every live game...? wtf is it?
 
Funny you guys ask that. Last night I was playing Saints Row with my friend. He got a true skill rating of Thug (level 15). I looked at mine and it was level 1. Even though our kill/death, and games played were very very similar.

So I looked it up on the internet, and it made me more confused.

If anyone can translate that sigma, log2, I would appreciate that

What the funk!? All that math and there's no simple option to look at it?

It kinda works out though in a true M$ way. They overcomplicated a ranking system.
 
this might be the reason I can't find the same rooms as my roommate when we search for "ranked" games in Gears of Wars with the same settings set.

Where can you check this out at? Someone above mention R6... is there any other game or website? I would love to find out what my score is.

I've seen Trueskill mentioned in Perfect Dark Zero, and I just assumed that it was for matchmaking. I personally am not sure how it works, though.

Here is an article from a year ago that makes it a lot clearer than the math-infested explanation on the Microsoft page.

But you know, maybe they're just making it all up.
 
It'd better that you don't know how it works, that's when people start exploiting things on a larger basis. BF2 was so stupid because of their system on PC.
 
it doesn't work. Read that IGN article and tell me that your ranking is anything but tied to ow often you play in Gears of War.
