Any deals for the Core 360?

My friend's premium 360 died about a month ago and he is looking to get a core to pop his HD in and such. Any deals (other than the Microcenter one) on Core systems?

i know toyrs r us has that 100 dollar gift card with a purchase of a premium, not sure if they got anything for core though

When did he buy it (MS just extened all warnteys to 1 year)

I've seen a free (lame) game with the core off and on. I think Target had one a couple of weeks ago, so they might again. I'd be kind of gunshy about another one though.

I am said friend. After my initial 360 90 day warranty (way back when) I decided to put a black case on it. Two weeks after that, they announced that if your 360 was made in '05 that it would be under a year warranty. Didn't bother me until it red-lighted a month ago (diagnosed it with eject/sync button, RAM never properly installed). Now everyone gets a year warranty.

I'm not whining, but it was an unfortuante set of circumstances. Moral is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

But yeah, now all I need is a core (HDD, etc still works).
