Long story short, I got my wii for christmas but found out I got a defective unit that would bring up error 110213. I called nintendo up and they took all my info but never my email. :imwithst: The guy then said he'd email me something I needed to confirm and my tracking number but how could he if he never got my email? :imwithst: Confused about this but should I call back and tell them for my order? I'd like to have it back by saturday so just wondering.. :wii:

You should definintely call back as soon as you can.

Also, you may want to create a My Nintendo account so that you can easily track your repair status and such.

I have a my nintendo account already since i registered my ds and stuff. I called back and yay nintendo is overloaded with phone calls again...

They might have just pulled your email from that registation.

I got through finally and it is a very good thing I did. The guy never even placed my order... The order number was someone elses for an entire different thing. Credit card wasn't in the system at all either. I got the real order placed and what sucks is I'll lose all my saves for zelda and rayman. :bomb:

I was the first person to discover for Nintendo that corrupt firmware copies corrupt saved data to an SD card. That sucked, becuase I was like 2 hours into Zelda on launch day when I called to get my system replaced, and proceeded to play another 6 hours or so before the replacement system came and discovered I couldn't copy the saved games to the new system.

Moral of the story? Back up all saved before doing a firmware update.

Really sucks losing 8hrs in zelda but atleast I'll have access to the shop finally and updates. I bought 3 2000 point cards and have em still sitting here waiting for the day that replacement comes heh. :bouncy:

Sorry for double post but I thought they didn't charge since it was under warranty?

That's what you'll be charged if you don't send the broken one back in within 21 days. It's just a place holder and your card has not been charged.

Ah, ok. Makes sense now after you said that. Well hopefully I'll get the console on saturday since that is the 4th day for ups blue. Then again, they said they were swamped and to expect it next week if they can't get it out in time.

Whoa, what's the scoop on corrupt firmware? I haven't plugged in and set up the Wii yet, but was there a particular version or something that was bad and to avoid still?
