I tried this topic awhile ago at gamefaqs next gen board....but ya that place is full of trolls so that was a bad idea! Anyways, over the years 100s if not 1,000s of great games have slipped through the cracks and either not got the reviews they deserve, or they have but not the attention from gamers they deserve. As long as even a few people seem to care about the topic ill continue doing it.

I'm going to try to help people out with this topic by every day posting about a game I feel deserves some extra attention. These games will range all genres(though ill admit im a bit of an RPGer so they might get a little extra loving)but all have the same thing in common. That for whatever reason people simply did not pay attention to them. Some of them will be extreamly obscure or may have never even saw US release, but did get fan translation. Others may be somewhat fair known like tommorows game.

On a final note Id like to add that if you feel a game is deserving of making the list then please PM me the suggestion and ill be glad to either add it or atleast look into it. Im asking this to keep things on topic. I am also glad to share the topic letting others host it if they wish to or if I havnt played their suggestion. After all there are going to be tons of games i havnt played, especially for systems like the TG16 or Master system which I didnt own ;)

Day 1 - Inindo Way of the Ninja - SNES

Inindo way of the Ninja was waaaaay before its time. It featured many new and innovative concepts some of which we havnt seen used in modern RPGs suprsingly. Set in Chaina Inindo follows real places and people to an extent. In Inindo you played an Iga Ninja who's clan had been whiped out by Lord Noboguna and now your out for revenge. You must go to various locations to train your skills before taking on Nob.

Charcters join in a rather unique way. Instead of through story scenes charcters unllike most console titles have you go to bars or to the castle and hope that other charcters(there are dozens who can join)will be there. If they are then you must spend time talking to them to raise their friendship lvl with you and then maybe when you ask they will join. Some will join you eagerly at low friendship/trust lvls like other Iga ninjas or many Hermit class charcters. Others will take forever to join you like the Ninja clans who follow Lord Noboguna since your views clash greatly. Challanging them to battle in a bar will also help raise friendship lvl but after defeat they usually run off so you will have to wait till you see them again.

Bars can be dangerous though, those who dont like you or just wish to test you can attack suddenly...this goes beyond bars too......some people will just hunt you down on the world map and attack you randomly. Positive side is that as you lvl others will hunt you down asking to join.....though most of these charcters are not that great anyways. Thats not it on the unique side though! Charcters also can be injured in battle(if I recall right even killed). If you die you may be injured and wont be able to do much damage at all till you make it back to town and fix yourself up. If an NPC falls in battle a second time he could permantly die(pretty sure of this and if this isnt true something else really bad happans).

Sounds good? Well its not over, the final feature I rember is the most innovative of all. Just as you have a friendship lvl with the players you have a trust/respect lvl with the various cities/kingdoms of the game. When your lvl is high enough you can go on jobs for them to spy on their enemies or even sabotage their food stuffs or set their castle on fire. When your lvl and trust lvl is high enough they will even hire you out to lead their troops into battle against other kingdoms. This adds alot to the game as battles are large stratagy battles instead of turn based battles like the rest of the game. This is also very important since to get to the guarded Lord Noboguna you will need to have a kingdom willing to attack him.

Inindo is a vastly underated SNES game that I reccomend picking up if your into RPGs or just unique games. I have yet to see many games attempt something so unique as this RPG did way back when, and I dont think iv seen it done nearly as well. Inindo isnt one of the best games ever made, but its deffintly worth looking into.

Hope you guys enjoyed the first day of the topic and hope I did a decent job doing a little run down for it.
