GT Pro Series or Monster 4x4: World Circuit?

The only reason I am looking at one of these games is because of the free steering wheel that comes with it. I have 2 co workers who have Excite Truck and one NFS: Carbon so I can borrow those.

I've heard Monster 4X4 is standard arcade fare with some very fun multiplayer and GT Pro Series is a really shitty Japan only GC game that they ported to Wii.
Probably go with Monster 4X4 (if you have to)

GT Pro is supposedly horrible.
You can. So basically are any of those titles worth $30 comapred to ExciteTruck and wheel for $70?
From what I understand, the wheel doesn't work with ExciteTruck. In ExciteTruck, you steer by holding the Wiimote buttons up and tilting left and right. In the two games that come with the wheel, the Wiimote snaps in with the buttons facing you, so it steers by rotating the Wiimote. If you were to snap the Wiimote in the wheel and use it for ExciteTruck, you'd have to hold the wheel flat so the Wiimote faces up and tilt the wheel left and right instead of turning the wheel. I've never used the wheel, though, so I could be wrong.

Go with the Monster Truck title, but Excite Truck is a much better game (even though it doesn't work with the wheel).

I remember reading from someone with ExciteTruck that you CAN use the wheel (or hold the remote with the buttons facing you). I don't think the left-right accelerometers care if the buttons are oriented up or sideways.

Someone with ExciteTruck needs to settle this once and for all.

I know we all didn't buy our Wiis for graphics but all you have to do is pick up the box for GT Pro and look at the screenshots on the back to know its not worth picking up. Did someone say it was a Gamecube port? It really looks like a Playstation port.

You're telling me THIS doesn't look good??...oh...wait :p

Thanks. I'll have to make my decision when the time comes. I'd really like to see or hear what future racing titles are on the way.

Which would I ultimately get?

Neither.

But if they were the last two games on earth and I needed to make a quick choice, I'd definitley be the monster truck game. I learned my lesson with Auto Modellista on crappy racers, and GT Pro Series is supposed to be alot worse than that.

My dad bought me the GT for Christmas. I thought about returning it after reading reviews but I did keep it. In general I don't play racing games but I actually like this one. Once again, it's a fun game to play against friends who aren't necessarily gamers. Yeah, graphics could be better but I think it's fine. The wheel is a funny little round plastic thing but it works. I can actually sit while playing a Wii game! Keeping the car steady is tough but I had the same problem with the GPR games on the XBox. I suck at racing games.

If you're a racing gamer then stay away but if you're like me it's a fun game to kill time with.

That actually looks pretty good ... for a PSP title. I'm not a huge racing fan either so I can't say which to go with, but if I had to choose I'd pick a monster truck over a race car.

Reminds me of Auto Modellista. Anyway, the thing with Excite Truck and having to hold the buttons facing up is nonsense.
