This game consumed about 2 years of my life. I still have fond memories. It was nearly perfectly balanced in terms of action and strategy and the ability to create your own maps just made it better.

Just curious if anyone else played this in the late 90's.

I was one of the founders of OMAG, Order Me Another Guinness -- a ffa-based clan who hosted ranked ffa games on a regular basis.

Huge fan of both games, still have the Codex. I remember when I first played Myth I was used to regular RTS games and got my ass handed to me. After I figured it out, it was one of the best gaming experiences I've had.

Fatality.

Ahh, I spent quite a bit of time in college playing both games. They were great pick-me-up multiplayer games, lots of fun but you didn't have to spend hours on them. And then the relatively little-known company that made them went on to create Halo. Who would have thunk it?

myth/myth 2's multiplayer was freakin awesome. No resource management, just spending your alloted points on a custom team. Running a trow in end of a massive battle to win a King of the Hill match was awesome.

Also, does anyone remember using the lighning guys to launch dwarven satchel charges? that was great. These games are where i first fell in love with bungie. I was very disappointed that they werent doing Halo Wars.

Dwarf carpet bombing! I loved those days. I remember sending the zombies into the middle of the lake and pop out of nowhere. But I also loved sending in the wirts(?) into the lake and blow up my opposing army.

I also loved the mods people made in those games. Fun times.
