Just talked with a guy at my local GameStop who let me know that GS will be doing a pretty cool promotion for Grand Theft Auto V. Customers that preordered GTA V and pick it up within the first 48 hours of release (ie: before end of day Thursday 9/19) will get a buy 2 get 1 free coupon on all preowned games that will be good from 9/19-9/29.

He didn't say if PUR is required since the code prints right on the receipt.

Saw it in the email. Here is the official wording per the e-mail:

"**GTA Buy 2 Get 1 Free Coupon: Coupon printed on receipt at time of purchase. Limit 1 coupon per customer. Free item must be of equal or lesser value. Not valid with any other offer. Subject to availability. Selection varies by location. See associate for details. No dealers. Offer not valid toward hardware. Offer valid in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam only. Void where prohibited. GameStop, Inc. reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the offer for any reason without notice. Coupon valid 9/19/13 through 9/29/13."

Just saw it in my email as well.  That will make five B2G1 coupons between BBY and GS by the end of October.  Of course there's not 15 games I want to use them on between now and then...

Could always transfer credit between them. Especially the newer releases from GS-->BBY

I thought of that, but the GS stores around me take a long time for new releases to even show up. Only this week has there been one Madden. Have one GTAV pre-order locked. Not sure if I want to do another yet...

Not that I recall. I think he meant using B2G1 on used copies of newer releases.

i guess i am the only one not interested in this promo, i always had problems finding preowned games for the b2g1 coupon, because my location sucks. it is just hard to find  3 preowned games i want at the same one store, instead i have to go around to atleast 3 , or more stores to find the games i want. sometimes, i cannot even find any 3 preowned games i want it all. The funny thing is i have literally 10 local gamestop stores within walking distance. i think i will pass

 
Another thing to keep in mind: the valid dates of this B2G1 coupon code coincide with the weekend in which PUR members get 3x pts (9/20-9/22).  So might make sense to buy your games that weekend.

Ooo, good call. Too bad they probably won't have a killer trade promo at the same time.
