I was in Walmart a few minutes ago and they had signage for buy a Nintendo 3DS XL and receive a $50 GC; it wasn't as good as last week's Target deal, especially when combined with the 10% discount but this is still pretty good and most Walmart's should have better inventory selection then Target right now.

There was a list of eligible sku's but it had at least 7-8 qualifying models. I picked up a Pokemon RED XL for my collection and it qualified for the Gift Card

Noticed that too.  And my Walmart has Zelda ones in stock though I think that might be excluded.  Honestly I kind of expect there to be another $150 price point on Zelda ones again so I'll just wait.

I'm not sure if the Zelda was included or not. I know most of the $199.99 skus were but I didn't see what wasn't.

Yeah. Not a big fan of hiding all the weekly deals in the mega thread... especially since CAG 3.0 is a graveyard. You can't clutter up the deals section when none are being posted to begin with.

I searched the first 3 pages of the deals section and didn't see anything mentioned and didn't previously recall seeing anything about Wal-mart before the weekly deal threads were merged.

My comment wasn't referring to this being a "re-post". Just stating where the deal is coming from. I don't even think the weekly ad for walmart is posted up on CAG yet. Now I know what you mean by being merged in the mega thread...

Is there a limit of 1 gc per order? Does it work on the silver Mario one? Will they do a return/rebuy?
I bought both pokemon XL's in the same order and got x2 $50GC's.

I'm not sure if it will work on the M&L Silver XL but if someone is in a walmart today they could confirm (looking at you WM employees!)

For whatever odd reason it was explained to me that Walmart will use their ad match policy to price adjust any order placed with a competitor (need poof via use of sales ad) during the holiday season (November something - December something) but will only price adjust an order placed through their own store for 7 days?

I could be off on the time frame but it was something stupid like that. Why they'd PM other stores for an entire month and a half but only their own for a week didn't make any sense to me

For those who`d prefer the cheapest price vs the gc I`d suggest trying to pm at BB. They generallly will reduce the system by $50 & "sell" you a $50 BB gc. You save the tax on the $50.

Im a customer service manager and the list does include the Mario and Luigi and the Pokemon among several other models. Zelda wasnt listed.

Going to try a return/rebuy today to see if I can get the gift card. I pm'd Target's price on a Zelda bundle and was out the door with it at $162.xx so by the grace of CheapAssNess I hope it works.

EDIT: Should have mentioned I'm an employee so YMMW. My buds up front will probably let it slide but I doubt the computer will do it.

I just grabbed a Zelda Bundle. Even though it's not listed I still received the gift card. Pretty slick. :)

I can confirm  as well that if you can find one via store locator that it automatically comes up at register to give a $50 gift card for the Zelda 3DS XL Bundle.  Just got one myself.

Another confirmation that Zelda bundle works. It comes out $220 with $50 Gift card

I was able to match the deal on a prior purchase by doing return/rebuy. They normally have a 15 day return policy on Video game hardware, but its extended during holidays

If you come across an ignorant rep (like I did in my first attempt), show them their holiday return policy

http://corporate.walmart.com/return-policy

The Mario bundle is showing $179.99 on Walmart's website. Not sure if it's online only or not, but I'd bet they wouldn't give the gift card, since you're not paying the advertised $199.99.

WM doesn't PM their website; at least according to written policy
