TRU ad 2/2: Lego Marvel $19.99 last gen, $29.99 for next gen
:( nope. I dunno how those extreme coupon people on TV do it when all the stores I go to use the "not to be combined with any other offer or promotion" disclaimer.
Lol

Man...I just bought this from TRU on the 360 for 35 after reward and coupon.  Guess i can return and rebuy or better yet get the xbox one version.  Probably have to forfeit my $5 reward though  :wall:

Does this by any chance include portable versions?
Whether it does or not, I highly reccomend you stay AWAY from the portable version of the game. IMO, it's a really, really bad port of what the main game on the console is. They changed the camera angle to be worse, you are stuck playing as certain characters for certain levels (and bringing in an ally only allows you to use their super move to help clear enemies after so much time - no actually playing as them in that level). There's no free roaming. They removed some of the cut scenes (why did we switch from Iron Man and Hulk to Spiderman for fighting the Sandman? Who knows?). Oh, there's also no jumping. At all. (Flying still exists though).

They just removed so much from it (I'm guessing to make it be playable on the 3DS) that it is just really bad. If you aren't convinced from my descriptions, go watch a Let's Play of the first level from a console version and the first level of the 3DS version. You'll see what I mean.

What is TRU lol
Toys R Us.

Unfortunately, those reward dollars are one-time use deals.

While warning people off of the portable thought I would throw out there that the PS3 is very, very buggy, and some people, including myself, cannot actually finish the game because of it crashes on the last level at the same spot, every time. I experienced 1-2 crashes every time I sat down to play this game, and it was bearable, right up until the last level where I've tried around 20 times to make it past one particular crash (as apparently plenty of others have), with no luck. I keep hoping for a patch, but nothing yet. I can't imagine buying this game for a younger kid, way too buggy, would lose progress because of crashes, etc. Too bad as I otherwise really was enjoying the game.

I'm about 98% complete on the PS4, just an amazing fun game.

I'm debating on getting the Wii U version for its off screen co-op play if it is included in the sale.

The TRU I work at sold out of Lego Marvel for current gen during Christmas and I think we only got 1 replacement copy since, which sold awhile ago. We'll only have next gen versions and maybe 3DS for the sale.

Hopefully Amazon will price match.  I have credit there and I don't think I have ever seen a PS4 copy of Lego Marvel at BB or ToysRUS.

If not I can wait for it to be $30 on Amazon.

I believe the Wii U version to be the defining edition for multiplayer. 1 on the pad and 1 on the main screen is indefinitely better than split screen. I'm not sure the next-gen visuals would really add much to sway my decision as it already looks great.

I have one of those promo gift cards that expires on Feb 1. Could I buy something this week with the gift card, then return it and use it toward this game after the 1st?

My BB's and Target's don;t PM without an ad :(
TRU don't print ads anymore.
Lol what every BB/Target I`ve ever been in have the pm stuff posted every around CS. And they specifically mention the .com versions of several retailers. Pretty hard for them to say gotta have the ad when they mention the web sites. Call corp. using the CS phone give them the store # & managers name + request a callback from the regional manager.

How do I show "proof" of price?

The best way to show proof of price is to bring in the competitor's current ad or notify us of the website address of the designated major online retailer. We may call the competitor's retail store or check the website address of the designated major online retailer to verify the lower price and availability of the item.

For online prices: please show us your mobile device or a printout from a qualifying competitor’s website or Target.com. A Target team member will then verify the match using a Target device.

Toysrus does have printed ads they just don`t do them as often as other retailers but you can print them right of their site under weekly ads(top right)

$20 is my buy point for the Lego games and Marvel is the only one I'm missing.  Hopefully TRU will get them in-stock online and it's shippable via ShopRunner.  Otherwise, pray for in-store pickup or Amazon/Best Buy PM.
