Did you notice anything else about the 2DS ad? Like did it say "price drop" or anything? This is the week after E3 y'know so there's a chance 3DS units get small price cuts

I see. I saw BB and Amazon have it as $49.99 MSRP, so I figured. GS also has it on sale for $49.99 new so was thinking that it may be the new one.
Maybe they are just advertising it as a "sale" to make it look more appealing even though it isn't a true sale. $40 after GCU is tempting. I heard some bad reviews, but would like to try it myself with the World Cup fast approaching.

True! And yeah, I jumped on it, lol. Found a used copy at GS and after bday for $32, had to jump on it.

The World Cup game is fun, even though it's a pretty shameless cash-in. They made some subtle gameplay improvements from Fifa 14 (last-gen) and the presentation elements are well done. Considering Fifa titles traditionally hold their value very well at Gamestop, you could probably recoup most of the cost around the conclusion of the cup. I think it's worth it, for fellow soccer fans on the fence.

I'm hoping we get more than that, because those are some weak deals. $10 off a last-gen game and a free $2 pack of peanuts?

Is the 2ds worth the price?? I only want to play Zelda and I have a 100 dollar gift card from target just sitting around.

The peanuts will probably be more exciting, the UFC game looks so bad. Undisputed 3 ftw.

There are lots of reviews out there, but from my personal experience formerly owning a 3DS, owning a 3DS XL, and trying out a 2DS, the 2DS is more comfortable than the 3DS, feels good on the hands, and is lighter than the XL (which can get a little heavy to hold over time). XL is nice for the bigger screen but 2DS is certainly great for the price and no one misses the lack of 3D.

I like the 2ds. Wish it had stereo speakers though. You can always use headphones for stereo but i don't see a good reason why they made it mono. I guess to reduce cost by a dollar or whatever.

Personally, I'm not a fan. My complaint is that it can't be folded like the others, because I think having that auto-sleep and screen protection is a big deal. That, and considering they made it that single slab, I would think it could have allowed for a bigger battery--the battery life is still really sad. If it was capable of folding (thus making it a 3DS without the 3D or stereo), I'd probably buy it for $100.

Does anyone know of a way to check for stock of the Pokemon X or Y 2DS? My son has $100 of birthday money burning a hole in his pocket to buy one, and I know in the past special versions have been marked down to the same sale price. I'm trying to maximize his purchase by getting a free game in the mix.

I assume it has a different DPCI due to the difference in price, but I can't find it on Target.com.

Oh noes, I'm so late on this thread! UFC Nuts is my favorite UFC moment ever! Way back from UFC 4, when it was awesome. The most unreal part is at 13 seconds when he does his patented "slide and slam" to find the exact spot!

I picked up the Pokemon 2ds bundle today on sale for $99. The dcpi number is the exact same as the standard red 2ds so you won't be able to search for one online....

So the 2DS is on sale. I went to one of my local Targets. I saw the sign they used saying $99 Pokemon X 2DS bundle. I asked for a stock check. They told me no and pulled the sign. Said they haven't had it in for a long time.

I check CAG and found a online search link and it showed it was available at another nearby near me. I called and they said they didn't have it.

Should I try calling tomorrow when they open and try asking again, or should I just go there and show them the search on my phone that says they have it in stock.

Could it be possible to ask for a subsitute?

I read some were able to get a physical copy instead for the same price.

What should I do, don't want to waste my time going down there and come out empty handed.

Has anyone seen the new(ish) Sea Green 2DS in stores? I've seen them at Toys R Us locally, but not Best Buy. I haven't been in a Target in ages, and their site is endlessly stuck on "retrieving store info".

Says it's on backorder on Target's site for me, with an "Out of Stock" for every store on the list near me. Every store on Best Buy's site has ship-to-store at $110.

Target hasn't had them in stores yet nor has BB. I don't think BB will be stocking them in stores. I saw a ton of them at the Navy Exchange over the weekend. Oddly, Target went to backorder almost the second the price dropped. Not sure if they just had a tiny quantity or if there is some issue as the store stock locator has never shown them in stock anywhere either.

made my day dude I drove an hour and got one they had one more left in rowlett I would have bought it to but I'm broke now

The closest to me with it is 58 miles. However, for some weird reason, my local Target isn't on the list of stores when I search by ZIP. Weird.
