As part of The Division's new data-mining leak, it has now been discovered that Ubisoft's third-person shooter will have Destiny-like leveling system. Once players reach the soft level cap of 30, they can still progress further by acquiring high-level, end-game gear.

Whereas this is called Light Level in Destiny, The Division will call it "Gear Score," according to the leak. Players will be able to view their Gear Score and then compare it to other players.

"Improving your gear and increasing your overall Gear Score will grant your agent access to the most dangerous high end challenges," reads a line from the leak (via Eurogamer). "Your Average Gear Score can be found in the main menu and is visible to other players. It is the average value of all equipped gear pieces."

This latest leak, which comes from Reddit user ChristianRiesen, also confirms an item-trading system, as well as the existence of daily and weekly missions, another Destiny staple. These missions will be automatically obtained when you log into the game and are only available for a limited time.

The assignments (most of which can be played solo, though others require a group), will challenge players to complete objectives in the following areas:

  • Combat
  • Dark Zone
  • Crafting

This latest leak follows another that popped up over the weekend. According to that data-mining effort, The Division will have at least 26 missions at launch. If each takes you around 20-30 minutes to complete, then the main game would be around 10-11 hours. This of course does not factor in side-missions and the Dark Zone PvP mode.

The Division officially launches on Tuesday, March 8. Servers go live that day at 00:01 AM Australia time, which is actually the morning of Monday, March 7. Reviews will not be available at launch, though keep checking back with GameSpot for coverage of the game this week.
