Hello everybody ,

Today i bought a USB 2.0 mini-B (5 pin ) to transfer PSP demos through my P.C to my PSP. My O/S XP PRO detects the USB .

I see i can't copy any data to my PSP folder ( H:\ removable disc ) from my other hard drives (example from :E:\).Its giving error .

EDIT : I formatted my memory card ( PSP ) and my current PSP version is 3.11 .

lol. I saw H:\ removable disc ( PSP ) is in FAT partition and my rest partitions in my O.S were in NTFS from beforehand.IMO ..... for this reason i can't copy any data from my hard drives to PSP's hard drive .

Now , what i do now? How can i copy datas from my P.C to my PSP ?

Thanks in advance :)

* I'm having original PSP , original memory card ( 1 g.b)and PSP games .

The fact that the file system is different shouldn't make any difference. Are the files you're trying to copy and paste read only maybe?

Ye doing that . Example i want to play Syphon Filter or Socom demos so i dl them from Playstation .com ( and extracting them also). Now after putting USB device i go to removable disc - PSP - GAME folder and try to copy it there from my harddrive where i've them. But i see copy failing ??? Its giving error like select right drive or destination to copy .

Welcome to the world of troubleshooting. You're going to have to localize the problem. XP Pro should have no problems communicating with the PSP. It could be either the PSP, USB cable, memory stick or PC. A lot of what you can do next depends on what is available.

- Try another PC, maybe a friends. If that works then you can be sure the problem is in your PC. Make sure you've got all the MS patches (Windows Update).
- Try another USB port. I've read that some don't work properly.
- Try another memory stick. Yours might be bad.
- Try another USB cable. You were able to get a connection so I'd think this was unlikely...but who knows.
- Make sure your memory stick has enough space. It probably does but just to make sure do a properties on the drive letter shown in My Computer.

Good luck.

I think it's more likely that you should have downloaded them through your PC straight to your PSP as Sony is well known for the DRM stuff. You could see if you have ownership of the file/files in Properties.

Are the downloads self-extracting or compressed? If so have you tried to extract the demos straight to the PSP? It might be trying to create its own folders to extract to.

Yep , tried wat u recommended , but still not working .

I think i may've a faulty USB cable ( i assume it may be ,after i checked this forum - below), and i should change it . My memory card is fine as i can save game progresses on it easily .
