Upping the ante in anti-game hysteria, the topic of violence and video games goes prime time tonight on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In the new episode, entitled "Game," Detectives Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and Odafin "Fin" Tutola (Ice-T) investigate the rape and murder of a prostitute. They discover that the teenage perpetrators were apparently reenacting scenes from their favorite game. The case winds up in court, where Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak (Diane Neal) must prove the teens were not influenced by the game and should be held accountable for their actions. The episode surfaces as many state lawmakers are eager to ban sales of games to minors. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit airs at 10:00pm on NBC.
