The Playstation 3 saw a decline in first-quarter sales, selling 1.1 million units, which was down from 1.6 the previous quarter.
The Playstation Portable also saw a decline, with 1.3 million units sold, down from 2.1.
But coming in on top this time around was the Playstation 2. Yes, the ten year old console still keeps chugging along for Sony.
The PS2 saw an increase in unit sales, selling 1.6 million, up from 1.4 the previous quarter. This is probably due in part by the price drop to $99 magical price point.
Software sales, however, were down all around.
The PS3 sold 14.8 million software titles, down from 18.9 the previous quarter. PSP sales dipped to 8.3 million, down from 11.2. And PS2 software sales came in at 8.5, down from 11.3.
Fans should expect to see a boost in PS3 sales next quarter, assuming the heavily-rumored price drop comes into effect this holiday.
