Though Silent Hills was canceled, there was hope project leads Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro still intended to work on a new project together. This now seems unlikely. It's all the more depressing when you hear what Del Toro hoped the game could have been.
In the full interview Del Toro acknowledges that while he will continue to learn from Kojima as a friend and certainly isn't opposed to anyone making games out of his works, for him personally the dream is over.Konami has stated it's "committed to new Silent Hill titles” in future, though quite what form these will appear in remains to be seen.
