Also you don't have to hunt them down individually via ebay, criagslist, garage sales, or flea markets/swap meets.Another route is downloading ROMs, but i do not condone that since it's piracy and is illegal in most cases. The SNES mini is an appreciated release from Nintendo. The selection of games included is also great.

Just word of warning, I ordered a "New" system from a supplier that was Fulfilled by Amazon and I am convinced it was fake. I did not have a genuine system to compare it to so I had to rely on pictures others had posted. I returned the item and decided to by a "Like New" system from a supplier with excellent ratings that I believe is completely genuine.
I would rather take a lightly used genuine system than play roulette on getting a genuine new system. Anyone ordering one of these, be sure to open it and look it over carefully before the return window closes.

I personally have no issue with people creating dupes of limited items as long as that is disclosed to buyers, it was not disclosed to me and I paid retail price initially on an item that I thought was a New genuine system.

5 starts for the genuine system.

I've been reading through the reviews, and it's amazing how many people ordered this system without doing any research. Hopefully this review explaining the differences will be helpful to those that didn't grow up with the Super NES.

There are two versions of the Super Nintendo Classic that get sold on this website. One is the US version, and one is the European version. The US version has a red bar across the front of the box that says "Super Nintendo Entertainment System," and features the Nintendo Seal of Quality on the bottom left of the box, with an ESRB rating of "T" on the bottom right. There is a picture of the console on the left front side of the box. The controllers are gray with light and dark purple-colored buttons.

The European version's box doesn't have an ESRB rating on it, and they call it the "Nintendo Classic Mini" on the front of the box. The controllers have multi-colored buttons, and the Super NES looks nothing like the original US version.
If you buy the European version, the only difference in usability here in the US is that it DOES NOT COME WITH AN AC ADAPTER! However, this is easily remedied by using a Micro USB power supply that you already own for your old cell phone, or by purchasing one (they are a few bucks on this website). Personally, I like the look of the European version better. The European version was much easier to find/purchase, and many resellers loaded up on foreign versions of websites like this one, who allowed you to buy consoles repeatedly. If your goal is to enjoy the games, and you own a Micro USB power adapter, it shouldn't matter which version you buy.

Both versions have the same games, and both versions have the same controllers (just different colors for the buttons). Both versions work in the US. I have both (bought from Amazon US and Amazon Spain/France/Germany), and they work equally. All arrived in relatively good condition. The only notable difference is the Micro USB power adapter. If you want a power adapter in the box, BUY THE US VERSION! (Note: The US version might cost you more, since it is slightly harder to find. But both are plentiful, as there are millions of collectors sitting on unopened SNES and NES Classics.)

You should also be aware that these units were never factory sealed by Nintendo, even when brand new. With practice, it is very easy to open the box, use the unit, and return it to its original packaging. I have given the Euro version as a gift after testing the unit/inserting one of my spare Micro USB AC adapters, and the gift recipient had no idea that I had opened the box. If someone is advertising their unit as "factory sealed," they are lying.

You can tell if the unit has been used by looking at the controllers. A used unit also won't have a setup screen when you first plug in and connect the unit to your TV, as you must complete the setup screen to use the system for the first time.

The other variant is cheap knockoff versions. If you compare your box and unit to various websites/videos that show the actual system unboxing, you can determine if your unit is real or fake. If it has more than 21 games on it, it is likely either fake or modified from the original version. This may or may not be a bad thing, but you should be aware of it.

I hope this is helpful to those who aren't as familiar with the SNES Classic. And I hope third-party sellers will be honest about which system they are selling, and whether said system is used or not. But now you have the information needed to know the truth.

The European version has the same games, but has a slightly different look to the system and controllers. The European version does not come with an AC adapter, so you have to provide your own micro USB power block. The reason many sellers have the Euro version for sale is that it has been much easier to find/order. I have both, and they both work great. If you want Plug and Play, make sure you are buying the US version.

I find myself going back to the SNES classic more than I thought. The ease of use as well as the amazing library of games makes this a must have. It pretty much has all of the amazing games I have time for. The ease of use as well as being able to instantly save your game makes this the perfect system for people who are busy that want a quick fix on their favorite game. The games on here are not just games, they are experiences that stay in your memory long after you play them. That’s what makes the SNES Classic one of the best products by Nintendo.

I was so hyped when they announced this. I had already collected the NES classic edition so this was a necessary get for me. It comes with 2 controllers (big upgrade compared to the NES classic edition, which only came with 1 controller), 1 HDMI, and 1 power micro-usb plug and cable. The controllers are pretty much the same except for the fact that my hands have grown since I last played a SNES system. The 21 games that are included are Contra III: The Alien Wars, Donkey Kong Country, EarthBound, F-Zero, Final Fantasy VI (one of my favourites), Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Course, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (another personal favourite), Mega Man X (one of the best SNES games ever), Secret of Mana, Star Fox, Star Fox 2 (never released in NA before), Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Castlevania IV, Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG (another favourite of mine), Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Super Punch-Out!!, and Yoshi's Island. Some of these games I've spent hours playing as a kid. It's been super fun just to relive my childhood. Very nostalgic. If you can get your hands on one for a decent price, I would recommend getting it!

I can't wait for the N64 classic edition to be released!

Já fiz uns testes aqui, joguei um pouco de Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, e o cabo HDMI realmente faz toda a diferença para jogar em alta definição nas TVs atuais! O menu é muito bonito e de fácil acesso, e você pode alterar a qualidade e tamanho da imagem pro seu gosto: tem o modo scanline, com as linhas na tela que simulam as TVs de tubo da época, tem o tamanho 4.3, e também a resolução original que é um pouco mais a achatada, além de contar com diversas molduras para as laterais da tela não ficarem vazias, e dão um charme a parte. Para os jogadores amadores, a Nintendo adicionou a função de save state e a função de rebobinar o jogo para um momento que você quiser voltar no jogo. Eu não pretendo usar essas duas funções, pois quero ter uma experiência igual dos anos 90 (mais difícil), mas ainda assim são bem vindas para os jogadores menos experientes e que não tem muito tempo para se dedicar aos jogos;

4.0 out of 5 stars
Reviewed in Japan on January 25, 2019

5.0 out of 5 stars Grande lançamento da Nintendo
Reviewed in Brazil on March 3, 2019
