Product Description
Among the Sleep is a horror game, played in first person from the perspective of a two year old child. The child wakes up in the middle of a dark and scary night and starts looking for mommy. This is not a simple task as the house is full of scary sounds and strange shadows in the closets. Solve puzzles, hide from monsters and waddle your way through your big house to get to safety. But most importantly, don't forget to squeeze your teddy when the creepy sounds scare you.

As far as why I gave this three stars--the mechanics are a bit difficult at points. Some people have said this is intentional, since your character is a toddler, which does make sense, but is frustrating nonetheless. I had some issues with glitches at points--trying to pick things up that, on screen, looked like they weren't being picked up but were still saved as retrieval points anyway. The puzzles do get a bit repetitive, but the game is short enough that the redundancy doesn't begin to annoy. The main reason I have trouble giving this a higher rating is I don't see this having a really high replay value. I got through it in about five hours (and I'm pretty terrible at games). The game is very story based, and once you've seen the story and solved the simple puzzles once, there isn't really that need to go back in an re-experience it for new outcomes (as there are none). Play is 100% linear, and it is not open world, though the graphics are interesting and the design of the various levels was effective.
Overall, this was a nice evening of play but I don't know if I'm going to be picking it back up again at some point in the future. This may become a dust collector on my shelf.
But this game actually sucked big time. I have no idea how this game scored a 7.3/10 on IGN and 66% on Metacritic.
The game is just horrible from the laggy game play to the glitchy controls and dark bad graphics. I gave it a few fair chances assuming that i need to get used to it but we both just hated it.
If this review makes you curious about the game, pick it up. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
