I’m new to this game and have enjoyed it so far. After getting into hard mode some, I decided to leave a review.
Dragons crown reminds me of an rpg mixed with golden axe, and final fight but with much deeper gameplay. You can choose to have a character with many button combos or not so many. This allows you to set your difficulty some along with normal, hard, and two other difficulties I believe.
There are many quest to do, and range from hidden doors, chest, items, to fighting and collecting. You gain XP, collect gear, farm, and fight bosses like many rpg style games.
The difficulty seems decent, you can always level a bit if you need to. Having NPCs around can make things a little more fun sometimes, but you need to solo sometimes for quest.
The classes consist of elemental casters, ranged physical, tank melee, wrestler style combat, and you may have companion pets on the casters if you want, as a meat shield.
The music is absolutely amazing, and reminds me of Valkyria Chronicles music. I think that the art style is appealing and rather vibrant.
Bosses and enemies seem to have a wide variety and call for strategy at times. Having the right set of gear at the right time is important as well as awareness during gameplay.
I might consider Dragons Crown to be a modern, mixed with old old-school, rpg style, beat em up. A deep combo system of bouncing enemies in the air and keeping yourself in the air can be complex and fun for some players. Along with evading death, you decide when it’s best to be offensive and time some abilities. You can build your character to suit your playstyle, or what your team needs.

The game looks like a painting come to life
I never knew about this game, or that it was available for PS3, or I probably would have got it then. So while browsing through the Playstation store on my PS4, looking for a new RPG, or basically any game that would grant me loads of fun, I happened upon this gem of a game. The visuals are absolutely stunning and beautifully amazing. But, I was skeptical at a 2D side-scrolling beat-em up. I wanted a real RPG, and not a beat-em up with RPG elements. But I decided to do some research on this game and found a few video playthroughs of the PS3 version and it looked amazing. Finally I took the plunge and ordered it. I'm so glad I did. It reminds me of the Dungeons & Dragons arcade games that my brother and I used to spend loads of quarters playing back in the day, only the graphics of Dragon's Crown Pro are by far more stunning to look at. Everything seems to pop out of the screen. The only draw back to this game, for me, is that it can get repetitive and feel grindy real quick with gameplay. But I always get brought back to it and the characters I created. The game has me looking forward to the next quest and area to unlock, and hopes that I get better equipment and treasures for my characters. I also love that you can have the A.I. control your NPC companions if you don't have anyone to join you on your adventure. They help you out a lot during the battles. All in all it's a pretty good game, with decent game play, and breath taking visuals. It looks like you're playing through a painting of a story. I included an actual screen capture from PS4 gameplay. Hope it goes through.
