Product Description
Corpse Party: Blood Drive is the final installment of the story that began with Corpse Party and continued in Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. Players take direct control of a character or party of characters and explore the ruins of Heavenly Host Elementary and other locations from a top-down 3D perspective. Along the way, they'll be dodging or disarming traps, running from malicious entities, solving puzzles and directly interacting with the environment to trigger visual novel-style cut scenes that advance the story and lead to one of many endings, with very few of them being happy.

Play this game through once. Then, after you finish it, play it through one more time.
I had no idea how enjoyable this was going to be to play a second time. There are a lot of lines that you just kind of skim past the first time. But once you know how this ends, you will find yourself getting all wrapped up in feels over some of the lines and dialogue. It's a completely different atmosphere once you know what's going on with everything you're seeing at the school this time around. Seriously, the game only gets better on the second playthrough.
As far as this as a horror game, I found myself more creeped out most of the time rather than full-on scared (although running from enemies always gets my heart racing!) The main ghost in this game definitely scared me (her voice is so evil, I love it). And the noise that happens when you run into an obstacle always makes my skin jump. The game does a BEAUTIFUL job with its scenery and art. The school building is fused with human insides, just in case the corpses lying around aren't enough gore factor for you. I love that this is such a good mix of story-telling and actual gameplay, so you don't get too bored with either aspect. So much more than just a gorgeous visual novel.
This is my first time playing any Corpse Party game. Before this, I had watched the anime and read the manga, so I was familiar with the first game's story. However, I was completely unfamiliar with the second game. This game does a good recap of the second game, so as long as you have an idea about the original storyline, you shouldn't get too lost trying to follow this 3rd game.
At first, I was worried the story for this game was straying a little bit from the original Corpse Party storyline, but if anything, I now think that it adds to it. I like that they went a slightly different way, and it's very in-depth, so you will be guessing the entire way through trying to figure out just what's going on behind the scenes. Some of the dialogue scenes are rather long, so just make sure you have time when entering a chapter so you can get to a save point. I also found myself wandering a LOT the first playthrough (mostly just the first 5 chapters), but my second time playing, I rarely had trouble figuring out where I needed to go. First playthrough was 28 hours, the second one was about 23 hours. I did have to look a few things up to finish some chapters. Don't make my mistake: check EVERY cabinet (sometimes two are directly next to each other), and re-enter rooms after doing events in them (even if ghosts chased you out, you can go back in safely).
That aside, I am in love with this package, and I have a friend that preordered as well and she was just as excited to get it. As far as the extras, the booklet is very a very high quality print, and the cover is even embossed. It's kind of like a mini artbook with some tidbits about the story progression/characters from the previous games. And the included soundtrack makes the package just that much better, with music from all 3 games. The music is perfect for the series, and really instills terror in your heart.
I'm so glad this release spurred a bunch of other Corpse Party releases for the first time in America. I've always been upset that we didn't really get this series before. Now we have the anime, the manga, and even the game for the 3DS. Keep it up you guys, fans like me are very happy! This series is fantastic for anyone who loves gore and horror. I doubt you will be disappointed.
The EverAfter Edition contained an Artbook called "Dying Art" Grimoire which contains Art used in the Corpse Party Series (Corpse Party, Book of Shadows, Blood Drive), 2 disc music collection that has 76 (38 in each disc) tracks that has been used and arranged for the 3 games, and finally contains the physical copy of the game and box with reversible art cover included.
Corpse Party is the continuation where it starts about 2 months after the 2nd Game (Corpse Party: Book of Shadows). The creators did a terrific job at pulling off this Chibi-style horror game! This game actually made me get so frightened even when its not even night time. This game never fails to make me sit on the edge of the chair, ready to fall off and freak out! There were plenty of jump scares and moments that could easily make you feel uneasy and sick. Lots of monsters, many traps to disarm, and plenty of bad endings.
I recommend this game to everybody who actually played the first two games. It is completely worth it!
