Some of Marvel VS. Capcom
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, that's right Is some of Marvel versus Capcom The game is missing all of the X men characters This will be the equivalent of the Cavaliers playing the Spurs and LeBron James not playing. The game also goes from 3 on 3 to 2 on 2 gameplay versus the previous version. Which game is taken away X-factor and Now has several stones called Infinity stones which shift the balance of the match depending on which one you get. Is the game fun yes.Is it easy to play yes. Is it a competitive fighter no Because there are too many characters that are cheap. Because of the deeper roster and lower price I would recommend UMVC3 instead at least until this drops in price or releases an Ultimate MVC Infinite.

I want to like this game, but......
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is the latest fighting game in a long-running series from Capcom. Featuring a roster of fighters from the popular video game developer and the celebrated comic publisher, MvC:I seeks to reclaim the glory of past iterations. Unfortunately, the resulting product falls a bit short of its lofty aspirations. I purchased Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite to play with my nephew, who loved the limited demo that Capcom made available over the summer. He loves the game and its mash-up of characters like Spider-man, Hulk, Thor, Mega Man, Ryu, and Dante. The game ships with a base roster of 30 characters, but there are several notable omissions from both sides (Capcom and Marvel). There are already six additional characters confirmed as paid downloadable content, with more rumored to be on the way. The roster is decent, but I really miss many characters that appeared in previous games, such as Captain Commando, Jin Saotome, Akuma, Doctor Doom, Wolverine, and Deadpool. The game's presentation leaves a bit to be desired. The graphics aren't awful, but they aren't as good as other fighters on the market (Injustice 2). Some of the characters are incredibly bland compared to others on the very same roster. The DLC characters look great from what I've seen, but you have to pay extra to use those (they are free to those who purchase the Deluxe Edition). Where the game really shines is in its gameplay. Capcom has crafted another great fighting game and really refined the system to make the two-on-two gameplay feel deep, but also accessible. The addition of the Infinity Stones/Gems is notable, as it adds a great mechanic to the game while replacing a third or assist character. I've seen many a match turn on the proper use of the Infinity Stones. The only negative to the gameplay is that I would have liked to have seen the addition of a mode allowing two players to fight on the same team against the computer. This was present back in 1999 with Marvel vs Capcom on the Sega Dreamcast! Overall, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is a decent game. It could have been so much more. I would recommend caution when buying this game, especially in its current state. Maybe we'll see an "ultimate" edition down the road.

Not as good as previous versions
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved Marvel vs Capcom 3 on PS3. My family and friends would have a great time pulling off moves and the sound and animation was suberb. I just think this version should have been more of a leap forward. It seems just like a small step, even though the story is long and involved! Not sure I even like the story that much, and the last boss is incredibly difficult, compared to all the other fights. Overall, I do think it's a good game and don't regret buying it at all, just was hoping for a better story. Graphics are nice and gameplay is spot on and responsive. Like the multiplayer aspects also.

Fun gameplay
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When it comes to the most important aspect of the a video game, game play, its actually a pretty fun. It easy to pick up and satisfying enough to play for a few months at least. Unfortunately, the roster is definitely disappointing. There are 0 X-Men or Fantastic Four characters and many of the coolest characters are buried behind a DLC pay wall(black widow, venom, monster hunter) that will be sprinkled in the next couple of months. The story mode is a waste of time also. You'll get the most fun out of the game if you are willing to put in time on learning combos and strategies in training mode and applying them in online battles. I recommend waiting for a price drop though.

Continuing a great franchise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been playing the franchise since it first came out as X-men vs. Street Fighter 20+ years ago. Same great game play with graphics and effects similar to MvC 3. My only gripe (-1 star) is that there are no longer any X-Men characters in the game! I guess it makes sense since it revolves around the use of Infinity Stones, so you see a lot of Avenger/GotG characters in the game. Definitely would recommend to any long time MvC player. Dust off your arcade sticks and get practicing!

Pretty decent fighting game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first, I thought this game was gonna suck but it's actually not that bad despite the graphical design. Gameplay-wise, it's much better than what Capcom had done with Street Fighter V and has better netcode as well. Despite the questionable roster, reducing the teams from 3 to 2 is a good move along with making the Infinity Gems a good mechanic compared to the Gems from Street Fighter X Tekken.
