I was baited into this shitty thread with the promise of some thought provoking conversation, but it will morph into snarky insults towards the OP. If I approve of the switch, does it still count as bait and switch?
 
My award winner for Bait and Switch has to be Wal-mart's price matching policy... claim to match just about anything, but then fight like crazy with nonsense exceptions that aren't listed to try and get out of it.

There was some chatter in the Amazon sales thread about Amazon engaging in bait and switch tactics. People got in an argument about what bait and switch meant. Babies can't handle the discussion so requested it be moved here.

It got deleted. Well, everything except the link to this thread from that one.

It's not really that interesting. The name-calling wasn't even remotely good. The most aggressive guy confused someone else for me and tried to say it was everyone else's fault that the argument was continuing towards the end. That was probably the most entertaining bit to me.
