Damn, I'm down to 6th now. 40000 points ahead of handsomepete (I think) and 72000 points behind cervezarun (who is that?). I need someone to add near me so I can have some competition haha.

Haha nice.

Hey, as a game, how is Ben 10 Galactic Racing? Is it even okay? Is there any sort of challenge at all? How does it control? Is it completely awful?
Its like Mario Kart and is actually fun for what it is. For $5 you can't complain. Also an easy platinum.

Speak for yourself :)

Velo is the one I know that would jump over me.
You might have the higher overall PSN level, but the site goes by harder to obtain trophies. So if you play a lot of easy games with easy trophies your main score will be lower. This also means more popular easy games will give less points and the more niche ones will give more.

Great job on the thread! You inspired me to curate the current 'XBL Deals' thread myself.

You can Google a "find and replace" webpage (I use this) to change numerous BB code. Such as adding padding to custom spoilers like I have in the XBL Deals thread (see: example below).
[customspoiler=" Bonuses ▸ "]With padding.[/customspoiler]

[customspoiler="Bonuses ▸"]No padding.[/customspoiler]

It broke? That sucks. How did it break?
My laptop fell from about 4 inches above the Vita and managed to crack the OLED screen beneath the exterior. You can see a crack on the black screen. Not sure if it sounds clear but from a normal view it looks brand new. The crack is on the inside and is tiny. It still powers on but no image is displayed. Im super careful with things and this is the first time I break something. What luck. Sony charges $140 plus tax to fix them so I figured Id get a bundle on Black Friday for $150-$170 instead which I see happening.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that.

Damn it Wrencrest!  At least you are the new closest for me so I have (kind of) someone to compete with.

Although I've actually been working on my 360 digital backlog.  I'd like to be completely done with my 360 by fall of next year, so I've got some work to do there.  My trophy pace may slide a bit.

Mine could go either way as I am also just working on backlog but not really looking to plat or 100% any games the rest of this gen.  Of course I only have a PS3 so I have that going for me!

Has anyone here played New Little Kings Story? If so, can you please explain wtf I'm supposed to do? I've been running around for an hour beating up trees and turnips and digging holes, but no idea how to progress the story.

Well damn, I assumed incorrectly it was PSN level based.

You might have the higher overall PSN level, but the site goes by harder to obtain trophies. So if you play a lot of easy games with easy trophies your main score will be lower. This also means more popular easy games will give less points and the more niche ones will give more.
Well that explains it. I play an awful lot of shit due to trophy competitions. Plus, I am too cheap for most DLC and those are always less common trophies where he plays most things to 100%.

It is ok. There was actually a decent learning curve for me, so I do not call it a really easy game. Once you get the hang of the drift mechanics though, it all clicks and then is not that difficult. I am trying to decide if I want to buy it as part of the sale or just get it from Gamefly later to play again on the Vita.

I had to "buy" Dragon's Dogma for free through the web because I sold my 120 GB PS3 for $120.  Now on Black Friday I'm going to buy the 250GB one with 2 games packed in for $200 and sell the Batman game because I'm not into those.  So if I can get maybe 30 bucks for it then that means my upgrade to the new system + The Last of Us will be $50.  Also, it's new so I won't have to worry about it breaking down anytime soon.

Ys: Memories of Celceta will be out for Vita on November 26th.

so who's going all in on associating their real name with their psn id?
For those that want it, this could probably be a way to change your PSN username to whatever you want.

What is it going to take for Sony to get the HBO GO app on the Vita, PS3, and PS4? Seriously, why isn't it on Sony's systems? Xbox has had it for years!

Nope, don't really understand the appeal.
Fame and fortune?

I reckon the appeal is having a unified internet 'presence' - I'll guess that it's all associated with Facebook/Twitter and other shit. To get an idea, get an outlook.com email address, setup a facebook, twitter and xbl account with it, then login to Windows 8 with it. Convergence is the new anonymity.

I would've rather they put development effort in to letting you change your PSN id, but whatevs.

Jumping back to the TrueTrophies site:

Not that any sane person would care, but I was curious how they arrived at the ratio, so I worked the math out as best as I could. Near as I can tell, the formula is something like (people with game / people with trophy) ^ (0.5 - ( ( people with trophy / people with game) ^ 1.7 ) / 4 ).

I'm sure they have a neater formula, and like I said, no one will care anyway, but there you go.

Seems to not work on DLC trophies, though every DLC trophy I saw said 100% of the people who had the DLC had the trophy, even if I had the DLC and did not have the trophy (and it admitted I didn't have it).

Assuming you're not being facetious, every time you kill something or dig up treasure, you're [shades] getting money 662. You need the money to rebuild your kingdom. Talk to Cow Knight, Ginger, or Fatso (not their real names - I don't remember them) to see what you need to build.

You might as well just quit right now because in a couple of hours your army will be too large and the slowdown horrendous making you wonder why you even bought the damn game.

DLC has some sort of compromise equation that was worked out a few months ago. It used to calculate based on how many people owned the DLC (makes sense). However, since many times a game's brutal trophies are the DLC ones, and since completionists are the ones buying DLC a lot of times, people felt the ratios weren't truly reflective of the difficulty of the trophy. Some people wanted DLC ratios to be based on how many people own the game itself, but that was shouted down by the "I hate DLC / I won't support DLC / I'm too poor for DLC" crowd. So, a compromise was reached. If you're interested you can probably still find the thread about it on TA (trueachievements.com) - I know the equation was posted in it.

To get an idea, get an outlook.com email address, setup a facebook, twitter and xbl account with it, then login to Windows 8 with it. Convergence is the new anonymity.

I would've rather they put development effort in to letting you change your PSN id, but whatevs.
Hmmm...weird. I prefer at least a decent amount of internet anonymity. I'm happy I have a very common name so it's not easy to just fine me via Google if you know my name. If you Google my username it just pulls up a bunch of internet crap. (Google Images Search on my username seems to pull up a bunch of other CAGs avatars, weird).

Internet presence is vastly overrated unless you are trying to become internet famous. When you apply for any job at this point I'll almost guarantee that the hiring manager is checking out your "internet presence" as well. And their not just looking for bad things like mugshots or Facebook pics of you drunk and passed out on your friends couch, they can make judgement about just about anything they find. Hell, I'm sure the results for "tylerh1701" aren't extremely flattering because there's still a stigma about video games that it equates to time wasting and laziness.

-Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Ed. Vita
-XCOM: Enemy Within
-Velocity Ultra
Hopefully they got the separate trophy lists fixed for Velocity Ultra. I actually think it would play better on PS3. It's a twitchy ass game and I'm scared I'm gonna break my Vita when I slam the sticks and buttons at the last second to try and save myself. I think it would be a lot better with the PS3 controller.

I just finished my first playthrough of Uncharted: Golden Abyss.  Holy crap, that's the best game I've ever played on a handheld!  It seemed pretty easy fight-wise, though - I guess they've patched it since launch to make it easier?  Anyway, if anyone like me has been holding off on playing it, move it up the list, especially your Vita list.  I can't believe it was free.

Joined! I'm sure I'll maintain a seat near the bottom. I don't play nearly as much as I'd like to and my time is always divded between all the different consoles. I have no idea how I managed to squeeze in 110+ hours in Pokemon Y since launch...
Just signed up. 19th. 18 of you can suck a d!#$.

Just got back from GameStop and they had a PS4 station set-up. I didn't think they would and it totally took me by surprise. Played some Fifa 14 man that conteoller is amazing, made me super pumped to get one in the next few months. Was going to play Knack as well but someone was waiting to try it behind me.
