This Engadget article is really cool:

http://www.engadget.com/2013/11/11/playstation-4-details/

- Seems to confirm that PS4 trophies will have an attached rarity figure to them, which is neat. I wonder if you can see how rare it is before you obtain it.
- Party chat!
- Double tapping the PS button will switch between two active apps. Go back and forth between that trophy guide and your game!
That rarity thing is cool. It was kinda mentioned earlier with the Vita's most recent update, but nice to see it confirmed.

Anyone want to sell me on Outland?
I liked it until the end boss. Wasn't too terribly difficult but I got around maybe 30-40% of the upgrades and could never beat the final boss, and had no desire to go back and get the rest of the upgrades to make the final boss fight beatable.

Outland is pretty good, but Guacamelee is a better Metroid-vania game IMO.

About Outland, it's not nearly as fast paced like a shmup like Ikaruga.  It's like Ikaruga in that you can change yourself from red to blue to absorb different types of attacks instead of being hurt by them.  It's implemented pretty well and can make for some challenging platforming.

Speaking of challenging platforming, Outland can be unforgiving at times.  It's no walk in the park, especially a couple of bosses near the end of the game.  (I personally think the final boss fight was one of the best I've played all generation.  It was tough and challenging but fair and oh so satisfying to beat).  I felt like it did a great job with the Metroidvania style as well.  It's made by Housemarque, who have really established a reputation of quality with games like Super Stardust and Dead Nation, and hopefully Resogun.

Outland 9/10

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/11/07/warframe-ps4-pre-order-bonuses-detailed/

"To get this pack on launch day (or when you get your PS4), you’ll have to pre-order Warframe either through SEN on the web, or through PlayStation Store on your PS3 — found in the PS4 section — by November 12th."

Presumably the 12th was to coincide with the PSN update since it seems all the PS4 stuff is getting added on tomorrow.
I'm talking about the standard they've set for pre-orders in which they're available right up to the game's launch with the Tuesday PS Store update, so maybe the game will be up on the PS Store tomorrow? I don't know.

Edit: Looking at the other PS4 pre-orders in the OP, they've all been pulled, so I guess they're all going to be out on the PS Store tomorrow despite specifically saying that they were releasing on November 15.

Well not like anyone can play them so I think they're taking the smart approach and not adding extra burden to PSN by trying to wait until Thursday night to update.

The update wouldn't add any extra burden no matter when it updates, as it would be the actual firmware update and game downloads that would strain the network on launch day.

Well as far as having things not updating at the same time, not being available to download or buy, or just generally not working right as the store has a tendency to do while they update it.

Web search came up with these results:

Warframe pre-order (with bonuses) is available now from the ps3 store even though the pre-orders were temporarily removed from SEN so add it to cart and checkout now.

PS+ members are getting 2 stackable bonus packs. 1 bonus pack from pre-ordering for free and the 2nd free bonus pack is exclusive to PS+ members:

Here's the official confirmation on the stacking bonus packs:

rpg - The Contrast developer responded and said the game will only be free on PS4.  So I assume it means the game is not cross buy with the PS3 version.

The third Hyperdimension Neptunia will be out on PSN later this month:

NIS America announced today that the third installment of the fan-favorite PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system exclusive comedy RPG series, Hyperdimension Neptunia™Victory, is scheduled to launch on PSN later this month on November 26 for North America and November 27 for Europe. Neptune reprises her role as the self-aware main character and meets friends new and old after getting transported back to the 1980s version of Gamindustri. In this third installment, prepare for a refined and even faster-paced battle system, more dungeons, and more comedy than you can waggle a controller at! Fans of the Hyperdimension Neptunia series will be able to immerse themselves even deeper in the mythos of Gamindustri with Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory.

I played a few minutes of the demo. The platforming works really well. Not going to have time to complete the demo tonight, but from what I've played watched and read, I'm leaning towards giving it a shot.

Anyone else get their $10 promo from spending $50 in October?? I haven't and they said they'd send it last week...

Everyone got it on Friday.

I'm probably going to buy Cloudberry in the hope that there will actually be a Vita version AND that it will be cross-buy. Yes, wishful thinking, but that price! :) I have it on 360 and don't especially want it on PS3 too, but would love it on Vita.

I have $20 in my PSN wallet and I was all set to get the season pass for Bioshock Infinite. I read about the length of Burial At Sea ep. 1 and then took a look at the list of games for this sale and saw a handful of games I want to play... PS+ complicates everything.

Also, I just finished the last stage of Hotline Miami and agree wholeheartedly with all the praise it has been getting here lately. I highly recommend it, especially to those that may have put it down after a few levels, give it another chance.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned but Joystiq got confirmation at the PS4 review event that Don't Starve will be free for PS+ in January and The Binding of Isaac will in early 2014.

I bought into the hype and plan on getting a PS4 now. Originally I had the BF4 bundle preordered on AMZ so I got the BOGO coupon and just ordered Knack and KZ. I already received a DS4 from their trade in deal. And now I have about $400 in gift cards at BBY. Now I'll have to try to get one from them possibly Friday or sometime soon.

Amazon used to sell PSN codes a long time ago, then got into some snit with Sony and pulled everything. Glad to see they're back.

Amazon sometimes had much better sales.

Well that's exciting. Really can't wait to put another 60 hours plus into Binding of Isaac.

Amen to that. And to actually get trophies/achievements. OG Isaac's Steam
Achievements are borked in the Mac port.

They previously announced that it'll be cross buy. Isaac on a Vita will be bliss.

Amazon is now selling PS3, PS4, and Vita digital game codes on their site. They already have some things on sale:
Put this in your OP, Frisky! :) This is glorious news considering all of the promotional and trade credit many of us get w/ Amazon.

Just wanted to say I didn't realize until browsing this thread that I had to have an original Dragon's Dogma save to get the eternal ferrystone in Dark Arisen. I just assumed it was part of Dark Arisen. Started a Gamefly free trial and rented the vanilla version so I could have a save for it. Thanks guys.

No problem. That's one of the best items in the game, and I use it all the time to level up my other vocations right before leveling up again. The Queen's outfit/armor and the Knight's armor are the other two items that I have with me so far at level 50.

Spelunky players here need to step up there game! :) I've been to Hell twice now. First time made it to 5-2 a few days ago. Then last night to 5-3. I ended up with ball and chain in that first 5-2 run, which is pretty much why I died in 5-2. If you don't know about the ball and chain you can look it up, but you really don't want to get it on purpose. Especially not in Hell. LOL.

With all the good sales announced for today, I completely forgot the Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea DLC comes out today too. Rawk.

Gave up on Spelunky. It was taking too much of my time and I need to play other things.

It's so weird I have a PS4 coming but I'm in no rush to get any games for it. I figure I have Resogun, Contrast, Flower, and Escape Plan coming for it for free. Even with the buy 2 get 1 free deal I feel like I don't "need" anything right away. Oddly, I usually only play over the top sports games like The Bigs and NBA Jam but I'm being drawn to NBA2K14 and anxious for MLB The Show as well. Both look great. I'll probably wait for reviews on everything else. Considering Knack and Assassin's but I never finished Assassin's 1 let alone 2 3 or the others lol and not sure Knack is what I'm waiting for. Lego Marvel is great as I played the PS3 demo but I can wait until it's cheaper. I'm not a big 1st person shooter guy either so most of those titles are lost on me.

I guess it could also be I have so much PS3 and 360 content yet to get to that I'm not feeling forced into buying stuff just to buy it which is probably a good thing. It might be smarter for me to live off of Plus content until I'm ready to grab anything anyway.

Mercenary Kings looks pretty cool for PS4, but i don't know when that is coming out. Also I'm not really sure why it can't also be on PS3 and Vita. Hopefully it comes to those eventually.

Speaking of games being so September, I just recently got around to Galaga Legions, and I have to say that it is a very solid twin stick shooter.  I'm really glad I got this on PS+, but because I am not a regular PS+ member, I may just have to pick it up once my sub ends.  Do the trophies get removed if your ps+ subscription expires?

No Divekick demo? Well that made my decision to pass even easier.
honestly I don't think you're missing much. it's kind of interesting as a game that magnifies an aspect of fighting game mechanics (and it can be fun to play for a little while) but you can also tell that it was concieved as a bit of a joke, complete with fgc in-references. I like playing it for a short run here and there, but I get sick of it pretty quick.

Don't do it man. It's the bee's pajamas. Get it on the cheap. You won't regret it.

I like Divekick. In fact I like it a ton more than any other fighting game. Because I can't play any of those games with their controller gymnastics. Divekick is very simple on the surface, but does have some depth and is fun. Having said that, all I really play is Spelunky. ;) :)

Oh, and don't make the mistake of first picking that character, can't remember his name, that was the kickstarter designed one. He is super confusing until you play the other characters and understand what his character does.
