Humble Bundle Thread

Picked up 1 dollar tier for The Swapper myself waiting to see if bonus games are worth it. Other than that, I have all but Monaco and I doubt my friends will play that highly with me (for us it's usually Battlefield 4, Toukiden and Titanfall in the future). I got the rest on sale...regretting a bit but at least each game was i believe 75% off or better, so good to support the Devs at least. I will in the future mainly buy things I will play in about 2-3 months, because buying these in the Winter sale (Guacamelee and Giana Sisters), I do regret esp since I haven't even touched them yet.

Giana, Metroidvania?

Skyrim will still be sitting right there after you played valdis... As it will be for the several years and games to come xD

(I still don't own that game)
But I've got to beat it for my 5-in-Feb. ;)

I played a bunch of indies in Dec/Jan so I'm enjoying playing a big AAA. (First Skyrim playthrough.)

IIRC Valdis and Spelunky are the top indie games in my to-play-list... though I was eyeing Remember Me before the TESO Beta Weekend got me interested in actually giving a Skyrim a proper try.

I'm trying to avoid those long and addictive games (spelunky, civ, ftl, eador, TSW), but is very difficult. I don't think I'll complete my 4th in February. Only xcom so far :(

I BTA yesterday when I honestly only wanted Dust. Boy, am I glad I did. Freaking Monaco, man!! Loving what little I've played so far.

Question about adding money later on.  I bought went minimum at $1.00, the then-BTA was $3.95.  If I go to the page and add to my total, does the total I put in there add to my $1.00? Or does it include the $1.00?  Basically, do I need to put $3.96 or $2.96 to get the BTA games?

Sonofabitch, i paid $6 and i still had to enter a captcha! how dare they waste my time with such frivolity. btw, are the 2 Book of Unwriiten Tales key separate entries or just different versions of the same game?

Figures. Should make Motoki happy. I think I remember him running his mouth some time ago about wanting nice mellow point and click adventures/seek and find games.

captcha appears on paying less than the average. So even though weeklies don't have one anymore, there still is one. Currently, it's $6.49 (though earlier it was $6.46) since it goes away when I put in $6.50. Kind of dumb that it's not based on the second tier price.

Safecracker has the reputation of being a good hard puzzle game.. I remember constantly eyeing it @ retail 10 or so years ago.  (It stood out more in the Fry's Mac Games section.)

He's talking about the Weekly, with a fixed $6 BTA

I was talking about the weekly too. It has a hidden average, that's why the captcha still shows up when paying $6.

EDIT: Actually, it's not hidden. They still show it in the stats section. Currently $6.60. So paying less than the "average" makes the captcha show up, even though weeklies have fixed pricing.

Nice adventure bundle, now I need to find Dark Fall: Lost Souls to complete my collection.
That's the only one I have on Steam so this is perfect. I also have Jack Keane 1 and not 2. Glad I resisted buying Jack Keane 2 during the GOG Insufferable Sale. Even the $6 tier here is a great value.

If only they could replace Deponia with Goodbye Deponia then this bundle will be almost perfect.

Yeah, that's my only repeat as well. Looks like a lot of adventure/puzzling for $6.

Is there any reason to buy from Steam anymore?

Seriously, almost everything I've been buying lately (even though I'm buying it super cheap) is ending up in a bundle shortly after.  It's getting to the point where I'm literally going to just stop buying games, even on good sales, and just wait for the bundle.  Additionally, more bundle sites keep popping up as well increasing competition.

It's like a race to the bottom of the pricing barrel, and consumers win for once in this country.  Went with the $6 dollar weekly for the first time in a long time this week.  I love adventure games :)

Obviously Jack Keane is an AAA series up there in the ranks of Uncharted, so they expect people to buy the first game separately.
With my sizable and lightly touched Adventure game backlog, I'm questioning the higher tier. Really seems silly to only play #2 of some adventure game.

I'm not saying the extra $5 isn't attractive... but my backlog-demons are whispering in my ear.

...but card monies...

If you didn't learn your lesson from last year's THQ, EA, and Deep Silver bundles, then you never will.

Only buy if you want to play immediately. Damn near everything ends up in a bundle nowadays, so unless you don't feel bad about seeing $20 worth of purchases in $1 bundles, actually play what you buy. If you're gonna hoard, hoard from the bundles, not the sales.

I really don't have time to play adventure games (or PC games for that), but Deponia and Edna have piqued my interest. I am a sucker for zany humor and I haven't found something to scratch that itch since the Monkey Island series. I wish both were in the tier 1 bundle. Not sure I want to spend $6 on something I will probably never play.
