I was initially thinking that, but not sure I would ever be able to get that much since the ipad has been opened and used a few times. I checked on ebay and most of the used ones were going for roughly $475.

The ipad has been sitting in a drawer for the last few months untouched and I will most definitely be buying a ps4 at some point, was just going to wait for it to come down in price eventually.

If the values are anywhere close and you plan on getting a PS4 anyway (and the iPad is not being used) then I would go for the trade.

I want to wait on getting a PS4 as well on account of my backlog, but if I had an ipad sitting at the house and someone made me that offer, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Go for it.

 
Thanks for the input guys, think I am going to do it. We have 2 ipad minis and an older asus eee pad Transformer tablet, so I will not miss the ipad air.

I'm currently considering a new tablet, Nexus 7 (gen 1) is started to show it's age already. I do like it a lot though. I'm sort of considering an ipad mini since they have an amazon instant video app and garageband but android is just easier without having to jailbreak anything. I might hold off to see if the rumored Nexus 8 will launch which is said to be made by HTC. Apple always seems to win in the Battery Life area too though. Ah decisions decisions.

 
PS4s are still sort of hard to get, so getting one without having to fork over any cash seems like a decent enough offer if you don't use the iPad.

I'd take that deal in a heartbeat. Tablets in general are pretty stupid but ipads are even dumber. PS4s are awesome.

 
by the by, if anyone hasn't heard apparently in some cases if you load up Sound Shapes and cloud sync you get the new dlc trophies automagically without buying the dlc.  Not sure if that glitch is still kicking or not, but give it a shot tonight if you feel like it.

They are? Every Gamestop store near here has enough that the stock checker does not even say Low Stock. Has been that way for a month or more.

They are? Amazon has had them in stock for quite some time now.

The trade would be a no-brainer for me - especially since you don't have a PS4 already. I just don't get the usage of tablets and would hate the hassle of trying to sell it. I'd even take a second PS4 rather than having an iPad.

Does it work the other way, too? In other words: If I started up the PS3 version, cloud-synced with my Vita save, got all the trophies (main + DLC), then loaded up the Vita version and cloud-synced with the PS3 save, would I then get the DLC trophies with the Vita version?

I didn't think it was boring, but the pacing in the early parts of the game is so sedate that I did get sleepy while playing it.

I guess it picked up in the last half; not because the pacing changed, but because I had it on hard and was too busy cursing at how much damage everything was doing.

LTE or just Wifi?

$599 for the Wifi only. $729 for the LTE model. Wifi I would probably go for it. LTE I wouldn't.

Sucks that you didn't like Last Tinker. It looked like it could be cool. I don't get why they went with an AC style of platforming, that game almost cries for standard 3D platforming. Also you make it sound like one big fetch quest with terrible combat. I expected it to have all those terrible things but I was still hopeful because it looked cool.

What? Tablets are what have me worried about the future of dedicated gaming devices. Many of the games are already console-quality and just 99 cents - often because they are literally reusing the console game's assets to make the mobile device version. In my mind, the only things keeping mobile devices from supplanting consoles are 1) Consoles still have the edge in graphics, though that will decrease over time, and 2) The touch interface for mobile devices. If something like the Amazon FireTV shipped with controllers with every unit, you would see a low-fi revolution - or "just good enough" revolution - the same way Netflix and YouTube are more popular than blu-rays and mp3s replaced CDs despite the superior fidelity of the latter.
