Yep, multiplayer created by another developer and tacked on by the publisher, crappy and all it ended up doing was dragging down review scores because of it.

My wife's daughter and god-daughter got me one of those PS3 controllers that looks like a 360 controller sort of for Mother's Day. Also a $20 PSN gift card. :)

 
Yeah i read about how it was tacked on, and the co op was tacked on too, but I couldn't even get in a game.

I even got my girl all ready for a co op session of spec ops and then I realized it was online only, so I sent her away. lol.

I had to play the co op mode solo and it was just a quick arcade run map of like a parking garage. no story tidbits or nothing.

also i love the hyperion easter egg in the game. 2k ;)

It had an interesting concept (damned vs exiles) and there were even different classes and perks, but i couldn't even find a session if I wanted to. level 1 0xp.

argh, I keep finding out more n more gamespy games. so Fear2/3 might be cut off, crysis2/3 might be cut off, section 8/prejudice might be cut off. MK vs DC and MK? wtf. why can't we find an absolute list of games affected by this gamespy shutdown. I thought it was gonna be tough 100% gotham city imposters in time, but this list just keeps growing and time keeps running out. oh wellz. I might have to break down and try to boost these in actual boosting sessions...

yeah haha, im not gonna get the majority of these done. I havnt even put Fear 2 in my ps3 yet, lol. I am just surprised so many of them are just gonna go dead. I should have stopped buying games and actually playing the games I own years ago :) Damn you Cag!

I'll be lucky if I get 100% in GCI and I have more clanwars coming this week. I'm just glad I got witch/100 knight and spec ops done. I feel accomplished for the month ;)

 
I'm posting this here too, since this is the PSN/Sports talk thread.

I would just like to state for the record that I grew up and live 40 mins from Pittsburgh, and although I don't really care about sports anymore I will always be a Penguins and Steelers fan.

I got free tickets to a Pens game earlier this season, which ended up being 3 rows from the ice, and it was amazing to watch. I really had a great time.
 
Beat Demon's Souls today. Enjoyed that game a lot, as I also played along with Giant Bomb's Breaking Brad playthrough of the game. Brad Shoemaker's obsession with the crystal lizards and subsequent freakouts when he missed them was one of the best parts of that whole series. I'm looking forward to playing Dark Souls now, though it's a shame that Namco never released it on PSN at any point.

Pittsburgh teams can go die in a fire.

I've lived in three NFL cities, and every game I've gone to I've seen three sets of jerseys: the home team, the away team, and the Steelers. I can only assume Steelers fans are too dumb to know when and where their team plays.

come to Tampa and I assume every other transient city in florida and across the south and you will see many other fans of other teams at games not involving their teams. Baseball games seem especially susceptible to this phenomenon as I see red sox fans on tv at games between two teams not called the red sox
 
Frisky, was the online still active? I have been meaning to play it before they eventually turn off the servers but I was wondering how the blue summons and red invaders were still going. I remember playing when it came out and it was very active. I didn't wanna try to play it again and not be able to summon any helpers etc. Thanks n Congrats. Such a great game. Didn't you just love the 3rd world boss?

That's how much pride Steelers fans have. They are one of, if not THE most spread out fanbase due to many people leaving the area after the steel mill crash.

OK, they're not terrible and still have a solid team and could turn it around. Milwaukee's heading back to where they should be after that crazy start and the central is pretty open if Milwaukee continues back to the pack. Just have to get healthy and start hitting like last year. At least McCutchen is playing like an MVP again.

This is fuckin' depressing. Red Dead Redemption free roam online was the shit. Now all the servers are completely broken and unplayable. Even private sessions are broken if you just got out of a public session.

I saw plenty of ghosts of others doing things and had some run-ins with invaders, so there are plenty of people playing it. My attempt to grind a bit in 1-4 to get the last intelligence point needed to get an extra spell slot ended with an invasion just before I reached the archstone to go back to the Nexus and I ended up losing those souls anyway on the next run. The servers should be fine for the time being since Atlus said that they would stay up for the foreseeable future the last time that they extended the deadline.

Brad Shoemaker of Giant Bomb constantly got invaded by a troll named Potato Marshall that would use acid clouds, scraping spears, and such to try to fuck them over as much as possible because he could follow them on the livestream and get lots of attention from it. He even nearly got an invasion in just as they were headed up to the last boss fight, but that got cancelled out once they reached the fog door for that fight.

I wouldn't say they do it wrong, they just do it differently than Sony. TT still has the correct values for each trophy but their percentages go by the number of trophies obtained, not the number of points.

 
That totally sucks that rdr is broken. I didn't know bout that at all. I guess those online trophies are unattainable now too? and I even have all the dlc. what the hell is wrong with me buying stuff and not playing it. ocd and then work and life...

I remember playing that free roam and getting the big possie leader trophy and having 15 gang mates causing chaos. good times. I was max level but didn't wanna go to legend mode yet because I still wanted to do all the co op missions on hard... hopefully it isn't totally broken?

I hate those scraping spears.
I totally loved being that 3-3 boss tho, it was so random the first time, you are like wtf, but then i was putting my soul tag (or whatever) so I could do it over n over. and you get that silly towel hat. lol

They're not unobtainable, just some  of them are harder to get because of messed up lobbies. The upside is really that anything XP related only takes like an hour to get, which I don't care about because I hit max rank a long time ago.

 
I'm liking all this baseball talk. Also, while I'm not a fan, I can certainly appreciate a beer themed team. Especially when they take two out of three vs the evil Yankees!

OK, so after starting God of War on the Vita today, I firmly believe that those of you who had trouble with beam-crossing and box-pushing at the beginning need to play more games. I fell off a beam to my death exactly once (and that was my own fault for assuming there was a platform I could move to when it was part of the wreckage) and I only lost one box to the archers. :nottalking:

Did you try to go get the chest by those beams? Where the three beams rest on the rock and you perpetually slick over that rock which prevents you from being able to grab the beams?
