Lol. I will never live my "breakdown" down and yeah I am happy because it will allow me to focus on other games. I have this thing about playing the games I get free on or even games I buy discounted from PS+, because if I am not playing them, then what the hell am I doing paying for yearly subs? I am just trying to be positive, you know? I am trying to find some good in a list of games that is just sort of bleh.

 
Crap, not a good list for me, either. FC3 is awesome but I have the save on Xbox and I'm not starting over. Guaca is great, done with it. PJ Shooter, done on PS3.

Blackgate sucks. Really just sucks, at least for me. I couldn't stand that game for the backtracking and the pre-Doom level map. Got to be one of the worst Vita games I've played that I was immensely looking forward to. I'm not going to spend another second on that garbage.

Maybe some better sales for June instead?

While I am "playing" PES 2014, I started looking up the trophies on Far Cry 3.  Now I am even more excited as it appears all collectables appear on your map in game.  Another easy trophy list along with a free PS plus rental?  Sure, why not.  Looks fun at least.

 
FINALLY DID IT.  Stupid broken game.  Going to be some time before I feel like playing the next one after the speed run for plat.  Was pure luck since when the satyrs tried to cheat and throw me off I randomly bounced back on to the platform.  Worst however many hours of my life ever.

 
Whoever said to try Second Son remote play to see where the LCD is superior to the OLED that's a great example.  The contrast on the OLED is so jacked up that all the detail is lost and it's super dark.  The LCD though looked much better with all the detail present and appropriate brightness level.

Speaking of remote play did I miss an update that changed the controls or something?  The missing shoulder buttons and L/R 3 had been on the back but now they're on the screen.  Haven't used it in a couple weeks but don't remember reading about any update and Google's not helping me.  Don't think this is going to work as well for a lot of games.

 
Not really any story spoilers for Watch Dogs, but in case you wanna experience every side event in the game for yourself.

Did I just listen to somebody kill themselves in Watch Dogs? I was intruding on a house and there's a girl off camera (I'm guessing she's talking to herself in the mirror) saying some shit and telling herself to "just fucking do it already" and then you hear like a choke sound or something for like a millisecond and you listen in silence for like 15 seconds before you get booted out. Well...At least I got access to her car.

All these shits are weird. Came across some dude pointing out minor flaws in a girl's pic and sayin 2/10 would not bang and got to listen to Aisha Tyler talk about how she steals from fancy restaurants and farting.

Also, that shell mini game (The ball and 3 cups) is pretty slick on here. Better than that shit on Smart As.

And Sony's never counted a cross-buy game as two games. Thomas Was Alone, Stealth Inc, and Lone Survivor were all cross-buy and were only counted as a PS3 game.

On top of that, Sony listed two PS4 and three PS3 games in the "last chance" section of this weeks Plus post. If they do what they always have, we will get five new games next week alone.

 
Maybe I've just hit a long string of them, but I'm getting mighty, mighty sick of 'grind rare drop materials for crafting purposes' trophies. 

I don't really care about trophies in and of themselves -- I just like 'completing' a game and a plat gives that sense of completion in a way simply beating most games doesn't.

But fuck these RNG rare item drop bullshit trophies.  These devs deserve a special place in hell.

I loved Far Cry 3 when I played it on XBox. A little slow to get going IMO but once it did it was a blast. I wouldn't mind playing that again.

I still haven't figured out how to find these guys. I got hacked once I think. The second guy tried to run me over with his car. I started to shoot at him and then it said he failed because he tried to kill me. He was a spas so I think if it didn't end I would have killed him. I am liking the game so far but need to figure out some of the stuff still. I also wasted too much time on a side quest based on driving. I hate the driving in most of these games. If I use the car I unlocked through UPlay it isn't too bad. The one in this side mission I thought handled horribly.

Anyway so far it seems like a pretty solid game.

Yeah I bought this for $6 or $10 on XBox 360. Played about 20 mins (or rather watched my nephew play). Just seemed pretty crappy and he gave up on it. So now I can add it to my back log I guess. I doubt I will ever even download this one.

You're welcome :)

Also, developers can override the default Remote Play virtual button layout. They can make shoulders L1/R1 or L2/R2, put touch areas on the front screen, etc. AC4 moved a couple buttons to the front and split the back pad in two instead of using the default quadrant. The Infamous layout would blow for COD or anything where you need to hold a button, but it works well for Infamous and shows they put thought into Remote Play.

I suspect we'll see custom layouts on a lot of first party games and that third parties will do the bare minimum to get Remote Play working.

The monthly titles and the evergreens have always been announced separately, so the list not lining up with last chance isn't a good go/no go sign. Good call on the platform icons.

Ubi put ACIII into EU plus a few months before the ACIV launch, so this is the right time for FC3. Guacamelee's already been free for EU. And PixelJunk lines up with the EU leak. If it's fake, it's a very thoughtful fake.

It's still a shitload better than it was before they added the ps+ icon to each game's page. Having to go in to content manager or whatever every time you needed to deal with saves was poppycock of the highest order.

Monster Monpiece (the so-far review no one but me probably cares about):

2Gb download.  TONS of stuff you can buy for DLC.  How much is necessary v. how much is in game already?  Not sure, still working that out.

Right of the bat, ever character I've met so far (up through chapter 3) is female.  (surprise! /s)  There are no english dubs (it's full Japanese audio) and the subtitles leave something to be desired.  (pan used instead of cake; than instead of then; some fairly bad grammar choices; missing spaces between words)

If this game didn't have half-naked anime chicks in it.. I think more people would be into it.  The game itself is pretty fun.  You create a deck of between 30-40 cards.  You can put 3 of any card into it except for the super powerful "SS" cards.  You can only have 3 TOTAL of those in your deck.  You deck consists of different types (Fairy, Dragon, Beast, etc).  They also have different color borders.  There are 4 types of characters.  Melee, Ranged, Heal, Buff.  Melee hits one square ahead, Ranged 1-2, Healers heal 1 infront, Buffers buff 1 in front.  Each side has a 9x9 grid you can place characters.  Characters "march" towards the other side once per turn (unless blocked by an enemy).  They also get one attack.  Ultimately you march to the other players castle and hit it.  One character only does ONE damage to the castle.  So if the castle has 4 hitpoints, you have to do 4 characters against it... except your character disappears after it hits it once uncontested.

You get coins to buy card packs and PP to "upgrade" cards.

Upgrading is that jacking thing everyone makes fun of.  And it's about as bad as can be expected.  You touch, pet, pinch, and twist various parts of the artwork until it stops working.  Then you move to another part.  There's a little seal that gets excited if you do it fast enough.  If it gets "happy" enough you have to vigorously rub the vita (both front and back) and splat.  Yea...

So here's my recommendation.  Play the game in public.. have fun.. just don't level your cards under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE in any setting that someone else will see it.  Each card has different voices and I can only imagine what they're saying to me... it sounds like hentai (but since I've only seen a smattering.. I'm guessing it's only gotten worse since the La Blue Girl days).

The card part is fun and I'm hoping to test multiplayer out as that's probably the most fun aspect.  Do I think it's worth 30?  Yea, a bit.  I'd have preferred english audio.  I think most of you guys'll like it once it comes down into the $10 dollar range.  

 
The actual card battle part, which being a card game enthusiast is the reason this even made it to my radar, seems far too shallow to hold my attention based on what you described. I'll have to look at some actual gameplay but I definitely wouldn't shell $30 for this.

Yea, you have to see it to get the understanding. Color borders add to the complexity as it gives all people on the field bonuses (+ health, + attack, +mana, etc). The game itself makes some stupid decisions early on, so I can't tell you if it gets better. But against a HUMAN opponent, there is some interesting complexity decisions that need to be made.

 
I'm OK with that possible June list. The only game I have is Guac, and some of those others I probably wouldn't pay for, but for free I'm happy to try them, especially Batman Blackgate and Pixel Junk Shooter Ultimate.

I would love for it to be fake. Reddit thinks it's fake too. Someone pointed out it says "Instant Games Collection" which isn't what Sony usually calls it.
