Mayo's not the worst in small doses.  I like to mix it a little bit of it with an even lesser amount of mustard on most my sandwiches I make.

I usually put mustard on one slice of bread and mayo on the other. Also, if you guys haven't tried it, try mixing up equal amounts of mayo, mustard, and ketchup really well in a bowl and then using it for a sandwich. It's pretty good.

Yeah, I think that's usually how most restaurants make it here. But some put other stuff in it too, I don't know what else they put in though. It looks like 1000 Island but it tastes a little different.

I dunno, people always say Fry Sauce is unique to Utah and a Utah original, but how can mixing together two extremely common condiments be something that it unique to one state?

Yeah, I don't get how creating such a simple mixture can be unique to this area (Utah/Idaho).

Do other people really not do this? It's good. Everyone should do it once in a while.

That Fry Sauce looks like it is about the same as Zaxby's Zax Sauce.  I would assume it does not have the spiciness that it has though.  I am not sure if those are more of a SE only thing or nationwide.

ETA: Oddly I looked it up and they are mainly in the South, and then for some reason there are 2 in Utah.  Maybe we are onto something here...

Since you live in SLC, have you ever tried/ate at Red Robin? I live all the way down in Utah County and the local one's at a Mall, but there should be some others in SLC. I only ask because they have delicious fries and put BBQ sauce in their fry sauce. Gives it this great smoky taste. Who doesn't like endless fries by the way?

Best thing about their fries is the Red Robin Seasoning on them. I do not even want to bother dipping them in anything. Too bad that stuff is primarily salt. It is all the other flavors in it that make it so good.

I bought a bottle of their seasoning since it is so damn good.

We have Red Robin here in FL. My daughter likes it and they have beer so we go somewhat regularly. Their sauces are good. Especially the one they use for their wings. I dip my fries in that too. Forget what its called.

I actually can't stand Red Robin's fries. They are way too "potato-y" for me. I don't care for steak fries at all, I like my fries to be thinner and a little crispier. I recall thinking their sauce was OK, but not good enough to salvage the mounds of blah potato held within each fry. I don't remember anything about the seasonings, and I wasn't impressed with the rest of my meal either so I won't be going back any time soon.

But yeah there are several around the valley. There's one at Valley Fair Mall which is fairly close to me. But I like Apollo Burger and Crown Burger fries and sauce way more.

I went to Red Robin once with my wife.  We weren't overly impressed with it and haven't gone back.   Wonder if they were having a bad night or something.

They don't put much of the seasoning, if any, on the fries when they bring them to you. At least not here. That stuff is full of red pepper and I can imagine a lot of people being not too happy if they came like that from the kitchen. It is always on the table here though. I agree about smaller fries being better. I wish they had another option than the steak fry type, but I can still eat them with that seasoning on them.

Different fries, for different folks. (Same with sauces)

I actually can't stand most fries now. Since they took away the fat that they used that made them delicious. At least, IMHO. The only fries I've been able to still eat are at Red Robin and that's probably because of the seasoning but the sauce is pretty good too. I also only eat Fries while they are warm and not when they get cold.

EDIT: Can't stand Inside Out Burger though. Animal Style is it's only saving grace. Other than that there's really no flavor on their fries/burgers.

Ugh that Animal Style sauce/spread is awful.

Double Double's are so good though.  Best "cheap" burger there is.  Utah got In N Outs a couple years ago.

The only fast food burgers I've been able to eat come from Wendy's. Other places that have good even great burgers are expensive like Applebee's or Sizzler etc. McDonald's newest burger wasn't bad though.

I think for a lot of people it's because it feels more personal than a lot of other game sites. Most of the editors have been around for years, and people have followed them since before they settled at GB so there's also that connection. The quick looks and podcast also give it a more casual feel than a site like say, Gamespot. I guess some people aren't looking for that sort of thing, but to me the personalities of the editors is a big part of why I choose to go to one site over the other, and in that regard GB is certainly among my favorites.

Maybe I'm the only one that sees it this way, but that's always been the impression I've taken away from people who like the site a lot.
