Here's the thing though, you're targeting all the wrong types of places. These big places have stacks of applications on file and ready to go. As someone who used to work at GameStop, we would get 3-4 applications a day that we just couldn't do anything with. Even if we were hiring for holidays or something, we'd have hundreds of applications. If you're serious about it, you gotta hit up small, local places that aren't already in everyone else's sights. Restaurants have high turnover. Car washes, landscaping companies, any type of manual labor jobs are usually looking for people more often than not.
Thanks for the info. There happens to be plenty of local places down here in Utah County. If they happen to be hiring that's an unknown. Some are even in walking distance from my House. The only car wash place I know of was when my Brother had a job with them. He ended up getting fired for doing his job.

Then I'd also need to find my SSN.

@Eldritch

Correct. Since, I haven't needed a job until now. Recently finished High School because of previous disclosed personal reasons. That is, if I can find a job. I'd work for the money no hand-outs needed.

I've used a gas grill many times.
Well I never have so this is all new to me and I can't find a clear answer on Google. I attached the regulator per the instructions after doing the soapy water test for leaks on the tank. When I open the tank though I hear the gas and this is where I'm uncertain as the manual says to immediately close the tank if you hear a "rushing sound". I hear it and I don't think "rushing" but that's a little vague and the internet says things from you shouldn't hear it at all to you'll hear it filling up the pipes. I repeated the process a few times but same results each time and the regulator is fully on the tank.

So is that normal like how I can hear the gas in the stove when it lights or should I be concerned? I didn't get to testing the actual grill for leaks yet since I wasn't going to keep messing with it if the tank or regulator were leaking gas. It is a brand new tank and the guy did fill it almost 100% full so maybe even though it wasn't a hot day it was just venting some of the pressure through the regulator once it was opened? I did notice that it kept pushing the little safety cap off which I've been reading is a sign that it's venting excess pressure the way it's supposed to be.

I really have no idea beyond what I can piece together from the manual and the shockingly unhelpful search results but when their customer service line was closed for the holiday weekend the risk didn't seem worth continuing to mess with it until I had some idea of whether that was normal or I've got a real issue on my hands.

Edit- Also to clarify I only hear the gas when the tank is open and connected to the regulator. As far as I can tell the tank is not leaking on it's own and once I close it again the sound stops.

Very true. I worked landscaping for 7 years. Great work if you enjoy being outside. Nothing to it, just can't be afraid to get down and dirty :) And a lot of landscaping outfits pay under the table.

Are we talking more than minimum wage?

Sounds kinky!
Depends on skill level and previous experience most likely. But any idiot can learn to use a weedeater or spread mulch or operate a rake. There's not much of a learning curve, until you start getting into heavier equipment. Not kinky, just sweaty/dirty.

I haven't played Golden Abyss yet, but that's not very encouraging.
For some reason, I reached new levels of irritation/rage while playing that to platinum that I never reached while playing the other UCs.

Sonic Racing update

I now have 224/232 stars in World Tour.

2 stages remain that I have never completed, thus they have no stars yet (I need to beat them on Expert).

The first of these is a Boost Race on (IMO) the worst level in the entire game, Curien Mansion (House of the Dead-themed). I cannot rely on weapons.

I have tried upwards of 30 times to beat this stupid, gosh-darn, FREAKING thing, but the insanely unfair AI continues to decide that it can reach whatever top speed it wants with any character whatsoever, while I'm using Sonic with the mod that should make him the fastest character!

:wall: :bomb: :headache:

Also Eldritch, how can you not figure out the grill? Plug the shit in, turn it on, and if you don't blow up then you've succeeded. What American reads directions on how to work a grill? That's the kind of shit they teach in first grade.

Slightly off topic, but also didnt know if it deserved its own thread.

Grabbed a PS4 camera for 25$ on clearance at Walmart. Didnt know if it might be nation-wide

Which for me would be none whatsoever. Unless, you count the ocassional yard work/pulling weeds. Already know how to use most of those, so I'm above 'idiot' status. By 'Kinky' I meant it as a joke. Mainly because you said "Under the table".

Yeah I know. Wasn't calling you an idiot, just an expression, my bad. The worst that could happen is they tell you no. You would probably need transportation for most work though, basic requirement. I'd work on that.

It's all fun and games until I suddenly stop showing up on CAG and everyone realizes that I died a fiery shrapnel death and each and every one of you is responsible.

Quit being a puss, hook the grill up, and make us all some burgers. And we can all bring our favorite condiments. Cookout at Eld's place everybody!

Nope I don't work. I would if I could, but I don't know of any place down here in Utah that's currently hiring. Plus, I happen to be intellectually disabled, so math isn't my strong suit. Except that my high reading comprehension and my knowledge in video games are. I could probably make it on YouTube but I'm not that interested in being an LP'er or a Twitcher. I really only need my SSN to get an ID card/bank account.
Well, you don't sound like an 'intellectually challenged' individual. And I'd consider more carefully what I share about my personal life here moving forward, lol. That is if you like feeling good about yourself.

Good luck to you.

Actually, what you say makes sense...

Guys, why are we offering that dude advice and not attacking him? Have we all gone soft?

I'd have to practice my "plumbers crack". That is a possibility, if my brain allows me to retain the information for any of those trades. Those colledge degrees that get people into McDonald's and not their actual major?

Sounds like you need to call Hank Hill @eld.

I was joking as well. I'd need an ID, Drivers license and my SSN now. Which since I didn't Driver's Ed in High School (wasn't the best teacher) it would mean even more money at another place. Unless they wouldn't mind me traveling on a bus to the job site.

I've actually received that remark many of times. It took me at least 8 years, to get to be this 'eloquent' when I want to be.

Driving is easy though. Practice in GTA V. Gas, break, don't hit shit.

This is definitely true. A couple years to get fully certified in a real trade like Plumbing, HVAC, or Electrician will pay off for the rest of your life. Yes, you have to actually work all day (vs. sitting around doing nothing on a computer) but you can make a happy living doing this. I have no idea why more people don't go to trade school. I'm sure half the people who spend a ton of money on college and then drop out half way through could have been infinitely more successful if they would have gone to trade school.

I've worked a ton of jobs bro.
I know you have.

There's so many pictures I want to post here but I'm afraid even the tamest of them will lead to me getting tyler'd.

Something like that.

Guys, why are we offering that dude advice and not attacking him? Have we all gone soft?
I've been trying to insinuate that your work from home business is just a glory hole in your wall but apparently I've failed.

These types of jobs you can be fully self employed eventually. Build up experience working as an apprentice for someone, then get a job. Do side jobs through Craigslist for extra dough, and some day just work on your own when you have a good reputation. I'd consider stuff like this but I'm terrible with my hands.

ID, driver's license are one in the same. It's just that one identifies you while legally enabling you to operate a vehicle. If you get paid under the table, you're likely not to need a SSN, that's why many Mexicans work like that. As for the bus...as long as you didn't have issues getting there on time, I don't see the problem. But the bus probably isn't gonna go out of it's route to pick you up whenever if you don't have set hours of work.

I can't believe you guys haven't jumped all over him yet, what the fuck is wrong with you all? He doesn't have a Driver's License because of his teacher (as if there aren't thousands of private licensing schools to attend) and his "intellectual disability" is preventing him from getting a job? I've seen guys with no forearms collecting carts at my local grocery stores.

Only reason I didn't say anything is because we're both from Utah.

Lé Grill? What the hell is that?

I'm afraid of bugs. That's why I don't do it. I don't want to go check someone's furnace and get 1000 spiders attacking my face. That's why I went to business school.

I dont know, I usually give people shit too. I definitely feel the same though, if he can put together coherent sentences that I can read and reply to, that's more than alot of CAGs I've seen. And I just seen an armless/legless dude living out his dream doing wrestling and MMA. That dude can definitely do some type of job.

And don't give us the Utah defense. Just pretend he's mormom.

Eldritch doesn't want this to happen
Yeah... that's kind of been on my mind while dealing with the propane. :whee: <- Me on fire

I see that my one week ban has not only castrated me, but has castrated most of the thread regulars as well.

Has since the day it happened. At least I get to use tyler'd as a verb now.

And he didn't use a single dat, do, dis, day...so he's already less retarded than Snakey and everyone on GAF.

Honestly, I had no idea that it had Co-Op. I did know that it had different difficulties, and I could have switched them up. Although I really don't feel like going back to play the game again. I didn't enjoy it as much as the others, so I don't exactly see myself playing it again, and this time just for a higher difficulty.
One step down from the highest difficulty is usually the sweet spot for challenge vs. enjoyability for 3rd person cover shooters.

And do some of you really not know your SSN? I hope you were joking. Learned that shit before my name.
It likely depends how young you are, before identity theft was such a problem lots of things like the DMV or colleges would use your social for your ID number so you would have to know it in order to do anything, it was used as my student ID # for half my time in college before they change it, that's when it was drilled into me.
