The game was fairly easy with checkpoints. I'd probably throw my Vita without them on some levels.

My 64GB Vita card came in yesterday. I uploaded all my saves to the cloud and Synced my Trophies then just swapped cards. I'm working on downloading everything again today by going through the Store alphabetically. Currently, I'm on LBP DLC.

All right, I guess I dramatized it a bit more than it actually was, but I wanted to make sure it stays like that and not gets as out of control as it's been over the past week or so. I apologize for that, so I hope we can move on to just talk about games as normal.

Yeah, the 3DS version didn't have checkpoints for the majority of the time that I played it. I was surprised that it also resets the time when you start at the checkpoint, which makes it quite a bit easier.

When you're clenching onto something like a controller/handheld nothing like that happens to me. I'm not prevented from playing video games, like I explained last night. I won't be doing that again for the sake of advertisement and staying on-topic. However, I never did say that they happen all the time. Plus, controllers/handhelds don't tend to be super heavy.

I played Uncharted really soon after getting my ps3 (my original MGS4 edition, so June 2008). At that time, I thought it was an absolute joy to play. I loved it. It reminded me how 'fun' games could be. I beat it twice, then went back when it got trophies patched in and beat it a couple more times.

I'm sure it's dated now. But it's certainly not the 'best' of the series... each evolved the game somewhat. People hate on U3 but it's arguably mechanically better than U2. I don't really 'get' the U3 hate though; I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I don't really know how the first Uncharted felt 'old' to you in 2009. The game only came out in late 2007, and in many ways reinvented the Tomb Raider genre. Sure, since then a thousand games have copied it, so going back to it will make it feel older (same thing happens to films that invented new techniques)... but in 2009? It was still pretty fresh.

I don't generally like too much plot in my games, but for me Uncharted nails the balance (as well as having a (relatively) more mature theme). Playing the first Uncharted reminded me of my childhood -- it was like being Indiana Jones. No other game has ever captured that sort of feeling in me before.

 
Okay, so is the PS Store somehow much MUCH faster on the PS4 than the PS3?

Also, this Library tab lists all games I own even if not downloaded? Amazing if true

Yeah, it's a native part of the PS4 OS, so it runs a lot better. The newer PS3 store was an app running on top of the old store, so if you tried to buy DLC from within a game or accessed the download list, you saw remnants of what used to be the native store.

 
Yo how do you play as granny in mudds? I got 100% sprites and diamonds. Also i saw some characters in bubbles in the ghost world. Is there a trophy for getting em?
 
I'm with everyone on the mutant mudds love. Very addicting. Finished all the regular levels pretty easily..I have a few ghost levels to do that are giving me some problems. Unlocked but haven't started the space levels yet..America!

Grannie is chosen at the title screen by pressing UP after beating all ghost levels. Those (4) characters are needed for a trophy.

I hope everyone did their civic duty and downvoted every tailing mission in Ass Creed 4. This game could not be less exciting right now.

It didn't help that the first few I tried were broken. Either the target just flat out ran the entire way or would get caught up somewhere dumb so that I ran into them and failed.

That and the controls feel more loose than even Ass Creed 1's. I'm accidentally climbing on everything. Nothing Liberation level awful yet though.

Although they pimped Liberation as a classic in one of the files here, so fuck this for that.
 
It's funny that the mods will come in here to police conversations but LORD HELP US.. if they won't lift a finger to unsticky the Amazon thread because Amazon no longer feels the need to have a rep support it.  Jesus.

Believe it or not, but io visits the PSN and eShop threads from time to time, so he would notice things like that when he checks to see if people are talking about what interests him.

Yeah, I've seen him around. I'm just assuming the bulk of moderation that goes on is prompted by complaints. Idk though, maybe he had it out for this thread. You were apparently the informant.

I didn't report anything. I was asleep after uploading a video to Youtube killed my connection to anything else on the internet.

 
well its 4th july no flash sale or weekend blowout at gamestop its independence day u figure sony or some chain electronics store would do themeatic game sale on patriotic games hint hint shooters or assasins creed series anything with historial plot or fighting for liberty oh well weekend isnt over but i doubt well see anything now

summer blast sale is crap i mean games that r gonna be free on plus soon or just outright not what im wanting at moment

Feel free to send a PM to one of us to bring such things to our attention. I was not familiar with this issue.

Though looking at that thread (Amazon PC deals I assume) it looks like it is up to date with the current sale in the OP. If that wasn't up to date I'd unsticky it. But it looks OK.

Well now that the riff raff has left, I feel comfortable in saying I was underwhelmed by it without being bullied.

Maybe if I played it more but I also hated Spelunky and Hotline Miami (two popular games).

Nervous about buying Octodad.

 
Just finished Prototype. Not a bad game overall, but damn it was hard to stop or to not kill people when you didn't mean to. The tank and helicopter driving/flying missions were absolute shit across the board. Some of the fights were really annoying as well, where it was hard to do significant damage to the enemy so I'd end up spending loads of time running away, healing, and just throwing crap at it.

I literally finished the last guy with 1 second left on the clock. I swear it was flipping over to 0 just as I triggered the Mission Complete screen.

Not as good a game as Assasin's Creed, for example, or Infamous. I do think both Prototype and Infamous have the advantage over AC in that the missions are actually worthwhile because you use the experience you get from them to level up. I couldn't give less of a shit about a thousand collectable missions that give you nothing, and that's the approach AC takes. I've heard AC4 is great because of the pirating, but I can't imagine somebody liking the side missions in AC1/2 enough to bother with more than one or two.
