Yeah, you can definitely solo the game if you're spec'd right. It's a royal pain in the ass on UVHM and OP levels, but those aren't a requirement if you dont want to play them. (but they are a lot of fun IMO)

i just felt the borderlands series tend to be to long, and a drag. especially if you solo, or play by yourself.

speaking of borderlands 2, i am surprised gearbox didn't announce a collectors/limited edition for borderland pre-sequel

I played a majority of the game co-op, but it was still fun and doable solo. The raid bosses and OP levels are really the only "designed for co-op" type of play...but even those are doable solo if you're good :) And you don't have to worry about people ninja'ing your loot.

Trying not to sink 200+ hours into a game? I played the heck out of it on XBox360 but didn't quite get 100%. Now I am closing in on 100% on the main game on PS3. Played one of the DLCs for maybe an hour. Level 54 on one character, level 30 on another and level 31 on another. Granted some of that was a second controller while farming the Warrior but still.

I wish I could find the stats I did of my XBox play through. I bet I have over 200 hours into this game between XBox360 and PS3.

I beat it several times on solo. There are some optional boss fights that are REALLY hard to solo though. One that is required to get the platinum. I was able to beat Terramorphous on XBox360 with a few friends. I tried the other day on PS3 and got him down about 25% before I ran out of ammo. Will co op to beat him if I have to but want to give it another try solo.

Just remember, unless they've changed it...whoever lands the kill shot on Terra gets the trophy...or maybe it's just whoever is hosting...but it was definitely one or the other. It was when I played anyways.

i read on forums that axton is the easiest character to solo with, is it true?

Yeah I am not sure which it is but my friend would let me host and get the final shot just to be sure. He is level 72 OP6 I think and has beaten him multiple times solo.

I remember on XBox 360 where there were 4 of us. Two would stay upstairs where it was safe. One died and one would drop in. Kept cycling till we beat him. I think everyone ended up getting the achievement but I could be wrong. Perhaps we played it 4 times though not sure.

 
I still need to start BL2 so Id be down to coop with you guys. I also have the problem with only having limited times to game though, and I can't guarantee to be on at a specific time.

Not sure I did most of my XBox360 plays with the Gunzerker. But on the XBox360 I have been using Axton. Both seem to work well for solo players. Getting double turrets with Axton makes some battles much easier. Throw two down and hide behind cover.

Lots of people didn't like the Gunzerker for some reason but I thought he was fun to play with too.

Haven't spent a ton time with the other types. Just enough to get the achievement / trophy related to them.

Axton to me was the least fun character to play with, simply because his action skill was featured in the first game basically. I only played with him til I got the trophy, but it would seem to me he is definitely one of the easiest to play with...but with Sal, it's hard to say anyone's easier to play with than Sal. Zero is definitely most people's opinion of "hardest to play with" but I loved him.

 
I'm finding this thread to be a bit too focused at times.   Can we perhaps have the old thread, this thread, a 'semi-on-topic' thread and a 'semi-off-topic' thread?   Semi-on would be for stuff almost on topic, semi-off would be for stuff almost off topic.   And maybe a 'semi-nintendo-related' thread.

We probably would need our own main forum title too to contain all these threads. 

Also, can some of you stop posting as often?  This thread is moving too fast to keep up with.

Octodad for $8.99 is tempting, but I must resist. Fortunately I guess I don't have to resist long and soon I will be able to get to the complaining that I missed it.

...If you had sigs enabled, you would have noticed that I've played quite a few PS4 games already (Infamous: SS, Wolfenstein, Resogun, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Mercenary Kings, LEGO Marvel, and Putty Squad). I have AC IV in the backlog (still need to finish AC: Brotherhood) and I'll eventually get Watch Dogs on PS4.

EDIT:  This thread moves so fast now that I was WAY behind on this.  I was trying to post about 15 minutes ago but work keeps getting in the way.  fuck ing responsibilities win again.

I've only played borderlands classic (on pc), and I only make it to like the third or fourth mission every time. not sure what my problem is. I hope to take it for a spin on ps3 someday, but I also hope to take up mountain climbing and those two things are unlikely in equal parts.

Well I just bought Steamworld Dig since time was running out and I liked what I saw on YouTube. You can thank me later when it gets added to PS+ within a couple of months.

Everyone here who has it thinks it's pretty good, right?

It's short enough that I would consider it to be pretty good. Nothing groundbreaking or anything, but solid.

No. Pete mentioned going back to play Borderlands after not being able to get through the first couple missions. I mention it isnt the best game ever made because he obviously has to force himself to play it. So I am telling him dont bother since he is already playing Infamous and hasnt commented about forcing himself to play through it.

 
really thinking about dropping my wii u and games today for a ps4. not even entirely sure why, since there's not a lot i really want to play.

dantes inferno is a hidden gem, dare i say it. it is almost as good as god of war 3 for a copycat clone. the story in dantes inferno actually made sense. instead of the god of war series, where kratos just go on roid rage every game
