I like the game and remember it fondly from the OG XBox days..but the controls haven't aged well. It's not unplayable and doesn't detract too much for me, but I can see why someone sees all the hype from the geezers like me that have played it, boots it up and is like 'really?' The ammo system makes up for it.

I'll admit the controls are a tad floaty, but they don't take long to get used too. Stick with it, it's a great game.

That's exactly what I'm doing, yeah. I'll try just spamming the shots instead and see if that works better for me.

 
Been enjoying Muramasa, but I agree the in game travel could have been done better, especially to old areas. The menus seem overwhelming with all the options to cook and eat and whatnot, but it's not bad once you get into it. Almost done with the Momohime story. Will most likely play the other one too. Not sure if I'll go all the way for the plat or not though after that.

Well I did it last night and got the Social Lubricant trophy for watch dogs without any help!!  This trophy has caused so many problems that they are looking to patch it...  Probably now my most proud trophy I own.

That and Disc Space Full are the last things I need to clean up. I'm more concerned about Disc Space, still need two of the hacked songs.

Like I said before this sometimes reminds me of a cult. The "us vs. them" thing is dumb when most people migrated here. So who precisely are you going on about? And who is complaining in the other thread because I've asked them to speak up. Shit is dead now. And @Frisky taking the fall for it when the mods already said it wasn't him. It's looking like @io may have just taken matters into his own hands. Why he used the mayo incident to play super-mod, idk.

The problem wasn't the occasional meandering. We know this because every other thread is the same. All you had to do was chill with the post count competitions. Or trolling with these alt accounts lol. The 'ctrlc' guy is funny but come on. Who the fuck is that?

Looks like Best Buy is going to have $10 gift cards for purchases of the DS4, PS4 camera, and stereo headset next week.  I have been waiting for a deal on the camera for a while.  

Of course, I have a reward zone cert that expires the day before the sale.  :wall:

I was hoping the 20% off at Target this week would work for the camera too, but no dice. That is a better deal for anyone looking for a controller of course. They give out rain checks if they are out (at least my store did). I do not know of a single instance where the camera has been on sale so far.

 
Frisky posted a video link to Abyss Odyssey yesterday and I just got around to looking at it. It comes out next week and looks really good. It's exactly what I'd want in a side-scroller combat game. Dragon's Crown and Muramasa Rebirth didn't scratch that itch at all, but I think this looks like a ton of fun.

if you reload your game one gets randomly generated close to you... several people have done it that way. When I first started my game I got the three of the three nearest people and it was done.

cartwheel also stacks with red card, so all electronics will technically be 20%.

As for the coupon, I am assuming the 20% will be the discounted price, but still!

I agree that the weird ass us vs them thing is a bit dumb and so is the ragging on frisky. or at least I don't understand it. I don't care about any of that at all, I just leave this thread open on my phone and refresh because I like these guys. I only look at the other deals threads in the rare moments I'm on an actual pc or if twitter tells me to.

I've also read speculation that the money increasing hack upgrade screws with song carriers. All I know is I haven't seen any for ages and I play this game more than anything else since its release.

Cults again? *shrug* I know of a couple but I've haven't visited the thread since I left. The rest is strictly hearsay. I don't believe anyone tattled to the mods, it was just the constant mutterings about the OT before all this happened along with io's interruption that set this in motion. I don't know if you read every post that goes into these threads or if you just dip your balls in it here or there, but it's obvious that there was some dissension building up over it.

It's stupid that another thread was asked to be made at all, but it's even more stupid to complain about it now. What exactly is wrong with the current setup? This way OT stays out of the PSN Thread like a lot of people wanted in the first place. Now all the OT contributors are fine over here and I would think all the OT haters are fine over there.

Again, not sure how much you've read but it's been talked about a lot in here. You're right, it's not all OT. But why should we post over there just because it's about games when we can keep all our conversation right here? Who the hell wants to jump back and forth between two threads? That would be like having a party, but one room was for "current events" and another room for jokes. "Hey, that story reminds me of something funny. Come over here so I can tell it to you."

And you're damn right my refusal is mean-spirited. You know how many comments had been made about the OT posts? How many uptight assholes complained about it? And yet we had news over there once, twice a week tops. Anybody came in there with a question, it was answered.

The other thread is getting OT anyway, and that is kind of irritating since that's why we were shown the door, but whatever. This arrangement is fine. This is the thread we had over there before it was forced to be over here. I barely looked at any other threads on CAG when this thread was in the deals forum, and that's not going to change now that it's in the off-topic forum. I do periodically check out the one over there, but I don't usually have anything to add and I'm certainly not going to post the same thing twice, once in each thread.

This info wasn't available when I played a couple years ago, and I'm pretty sure it's why I never found my last security gate, and gave up on the online trophies. Basically, in the tutorial race there are gates that you need to NOT break, because they will count towards your total...but they don't IF you break them in the tutorial...there are enough gates in the main game, but some are glitched so you may end up needing the tutorial gates. Credit to Bumslie.

if you put the sliders up, which is what you have to do to get the trophies, then as long as you have a decent bunt its a base hit every time.

 
It was pretty fun farming the trophies for The Show 14 on Vita with the super powered team. But that Cabrerra trophy took many many games and restarts.

Also, thanks for all the game suggestions yesterday for my daughter. I realized the library we are members of has free 21 day rentals on a bunch of ps3, ps4, xbox360 and xbone games, pretty much all T or E rated games. I requested Toy Story Mania, Brave and Rise Of The Guardians for her to try. No reason wasting games out on my gamefly account if I can check them out for that long for free from the library.
