And this is why I do PC gaming - a lot of console-exclusives seem to be timed-exclusives, these days + ages.

Unless Sony or Nintendo's involved w/ publishing - then, we're likely very screwed.

I would guess many use Origin for ME3 + BF games b/c it's forced - and pretty much, that's it. ;)

The thing is - BF games are games that I actually like playing MP on.

Same goes for COD, as well.

BF:BC2 + BF3 were much better w/ the MP than the SP by quite a damn bit.

Do any of those FPS games actually have good SP? Even the terrible Star Trek had to be played with another player (so he/she could suffer along with you of course).

BF:BC2's SP was better than BF3's, IMHO.

BF3's SP put too much COD formula into a BF title. While I thought it was decent, it wasn't anything special. If I wanted more COD, I would've bought a COD title.

Seriously - for BF games, SP is pretty much warm-up.

MP is really where it's at there, TBH.

The MP in both BC2 + BF3 are excellent.

Like most MP competitive games, after about 10 hours - I'm about cooked + ready to move on. If I feel like it here and there much later, I'll drop in and do MP once and a while.

 
Is anyone getting Ultra Street Fighter 4 today? It unlocks in a few hours, but I preordered from GMG so it might be a couple weeks.

I play mine on Steam. Won't really get that option with the next version though, which is dumb because it actually sells really well on Steam. Not too many other old ass games tend to stay in the top 100 on Steam without any sale or promotion.

I prefer BF games for MP.

The BF SP's normally ain't as good as what COD normally puts out.

COD's pretty balanced, though - b/c both their SP + MP have always ranged from good-to-great.

Except COD: Ghost's MP - I thought it was "meh", TBH. Didn't really care for many of the new MP maps, either.

Thank God for free Steam weekends of COD MP.

How on earth can you stand playing it with a controller? Higher sensitivity helps to parkour well, but upping it would make it a lot harder to aim with the stick.

It plays similarly to Left 4 Dead versus mode but deathmatch instead. It's fun and I would classify it as a good game. However, I thought it got boring after a while since the (few) different maps don't really add anything to the gameplay. Definitely try it out, its worth trying at the very least.

Oh, I really dug Titanfall's MP + gameplay - lots of freaking fun!

But, I just wish there were more maps + more game-modes in the base-game.

I agree with you in that video games don't portray any more sex or violence than (non-broadcast) TV shows these days. Quite a bit less sex actually. There's no reason that video games should be held to a different standard than other media.

However, quality is a different story. A lot of violent and/or sexually-charged shows are really good. (GOT, Mad Men, etc.) I don't think any games really stack up.

 
The new Steam Client beta added a new look. It's the Big Picture and mobile color scheme and definitely a noticeable difference. There are other subtle tweaks and I think it feels a little snappier.

They also added the option to hide games from your library.

Witcher? Though nothing is Game of Thrones level, probably not even the Game of Thrones games (as of yet, hopeful for Telltale).

I played BF4 from launch and it wasn't anything near the disaster people made it out to be. The problem is people love to blow things out of proportion, then it gets picked up by all these sites that post everything in the most sensational way possible, which in turn leads to people that never even played the game to jump in on the bandwagon hate.

I put in close to 100 hours and had only 3 issues of minor concern. Random kick from server between games, sound loop issue on some maps, and poor performance during levolution events.

Games that are hidden will not show up in library filters except for a new filter called "Hidden", which will only appear once at least one game is marked as hidden. Hidden games are still available for play and will still appear on the user's profile.

Good, now if only they let us hide games from our game list in our profile permanently. I don't want that Battle for Graxia game in my profile and Steam Support had no idea what I wanted them to do when I asked them to remove it. :|

I play usually 5-10hrs a week on there and even those issues have basically been fixed now. Last night everyone commented how the tower falling in shanghai didnt lag for the first time ever. I think the only issue we still have is mainly with battelog where it pops up saying it couldnt connect to your game, when really bf4 just hadnt launched yet and if you wait the popup goes away anyway.

Are you sure the random kick wasnt from the server crashing? Cause I still see that every week or so where once a match ends a server completely crashes and kicks everyone

Just because it's done in one medium doesn't mean it's right then either. Whether it bothers you or not only you can decide, but if I saw a show/movie/book with that same level of sexual objectification of women, I wouldn't watch/read it either.

And boob physics are not "adult themes", it's just cheap titillation designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator and sell more copies to them.
