I really disliked SC 1, got stuck on a level and said forget it. I've read Pandora Tomorrow is worse for various reasons, so I'm thinking skip it and go straight to Chaos Theory. Just looking for some insight on that. Oh, and I'm leaning towards getting rid of Double Agent. So pretty much just looking at playing Chaos Theory and Blacklist, and looking for opinions on that.

 
Hmm i just saw Ronda Rousey do tthat ALS Ice Box challenge or whatever the fuck it is. 

Seriously, I don't get it.  You pour water on yourself?  HOw is that a challenge?

Thread final fantasy football announcement:

A draft day and time has been thrown out, and a good chunk of you have agreed upon it. So for others, go ahead and check our league threads to chime in. It'd be great to lock that down.

As far as draft order, I'm in control of that and can set it anytime. Either I can hit a randomize button if you trust me, or someone that is not playing from the thread can draw names and ill plug them in. So any volunteers for the latter would be cool to get someone else involved.

That is all, no more ff talk here til the season begins!

I want to say it was Stotch who deserves the credit for inventing the "replying to yourself" gag. But it's definitely Pharm who ran it into the ground.

Stotch is like Family Guy seasons 1-3 with quality jokes and great timing. Pharm is Family Guy Seasons 4+ where no thought is given to the timing of a joke, instead they are just constantly rammed down your throat at a blistering and agonizing pace.

I feel the same way when companies talk about game length. EA said the new Dragon Age will take 150 hours to complete? fuck that.

I just played Blacklist and I though it was pretty good. Although there are some stealth FPS sections that are kind of weird. You sneak up on people by shooting them.

 
it's gamer's faults with their constant bickering on forums, facebook, blogs, anywhere these devs post news with a comments section. i think open worlds are cool, but the term open is used a little too loosely. great, i can drive for miles and miles in gta 5, and there's lots of pretty lighted buildings, but i can't do shit but drive passed them and look. i can't get out of my car, run inside, steal someone's clothes, sniper someone from the 35th floor balony, and parachute back down to my car. i can just dream about doing that while driving passed 6 more buildings that look exactly like it.

i don't think dragon age will really take that long. i think they threw out some crazy number like that with the first game too. they did some weird counting between all the different class/race stories and stuff.

all this "open" world, 1000 hours to beat, please don't sell our game to gamestop within the first week stuff needs to go. stop crtlcthenctrlv'ing all this extra crap, and just make a solid game.

Missed all of that, my other ESPN leagues it sends me an email when stuff gets posted on the message boards, I'll have to check my settings. I'll be over there to reply to everything.

 
no way i am going for the plat in sacred 3, im gonna try to maybe beat super hard and get some misc trophies, but no way am I leveling up every character all the way. Maybe when the game is on sale for 10-15 gamefly eventually.

I've been slacking and actually watching stuff. Sons of Anarchy, Gamescom conferences, and some movies. I'm going to watch Locke today. I love Tom Hardy. But I plan on finishing that inFamous and Guacamelee Platinum soon.

When Destiny was announced I'm positive Bungie made it clear they were going to keep the game alive for years through DLC/expansion packs. It's no surprise. Gamers should expect this from any major shooter now.

Exactly. Plus lots of people forget that games are done before they launch due to certification. Plus different parts of the development cycle get locked down at various times so they're constantly moving onto the next thing like DLC before the base game launches. Sure some companies like Capcom have been known to lock content off the disc and sell you an unlock key, but large content packs usually aren't that bad.

Yeah, i tried hooking up with Matt and Bums but I couldnt stay awake until 3am, because you know, like I have a job to go to in the morning.

But anywey they had a good system going to join a game at the same time. You have to hit the x button at the same time and hope you get put together. You have to win 25 games in 2 sessions. A session lasts a few days. Sessions are dumb by the way.

The trophy thats a bitch is win 50 matches online over 2 weeks. The online sessions are week long so you need win 25 wins and wait for the next session and win another 25. You don't need to do the sessions back to back.
