Definitely some nice sales showing up. I've been curious about Deadly Premonition for awhile and with the talk about it this past week it seems like I will definitely be buying. Now I just have to talk myself out of buying Manhunt and The Warriors for $2.50 since I already have them physically along with a backwards compatible PS3. But if they allow PS2 classics to be played on PS4 some day....

I may have to jump on Mirrors Edge for a five spot. Always wanted to play that.
I always wanted to play it too, until I did. It is the only game on my list without a plat/100% that I have no desire to go back and finish.

ETA: I could not even suffer through finishing the story.

Flockers coming to PS4 on September 23.  It's like Lemmings but with sheep, and made by Team 17 who does those Worms games and also did the Alien Breed downloadable games.

Seems kinda harsh. I enjoyed my playthrough of it and am looking forward to the sequel. The parkour gameplay was pretty unique and fun. I see huge potential for it as a series if they tighten up the shooting (of which there wasn't very much).

beware if you've ever even thought about having motion sickness. I know I can be a bit sensitive to it so I'm not the best gauge (I was bothered by the airplane bit in resident evil 6), but I've read about people where this game caught them completely off guard and wiped em out for a bit.

I also thought it kinda sucked, but I didn't get too far before having to surrender.

also all of you who liked my last post are a bunch of pervs ;)

dvp? :)
DVP is good, but the director's cut ultimate edition is the definitive way to experience it.

Every time The Warriors goes on sale I take a look, and every time I decide it has aged too poorly. Maybe the PSP version if it gets a good enough sale and I'm feeling it that week; the smaller screen would make it much more palatable and it's apparently about about as close to perfect a port as can be made.

Thanks for posting that. I was considering buying it but I'm bad about the motion sickness as well. I've had to take Benadryl just to finish off certain games before (Resistance and Dead Space 2 to name a couple). I've found ginger root capsules work just as well as Benadryl or Dramamine, but without the side effects. Might be worth grabbing a bottle if it bothers you as bad as it does me. I'll take one around 30 minutes before playing a game that bothers me and one when I start. Usually does the trick.

The PSP version was on sale a while back. I remember because I almost bought it by mistake. IIRC this is the first time the PS2 version has been on sale.

There's only 3 games still coming to PS+ on PS4 that we for sure know about, right?  Driveclub (October), Binding of Isaac, and Secret Ponchos?

There's no "fair" way to do it. And the method you guys are suggesting involved binge playing, which is something I don't want to encourage because it can fuck up people's enjoyment of the game.

Also creating a timeframe like that gives an advantage to those who wait because by 9/25 there will probably be a decent guide out that those who want to play Day 1 won't have access to.

This way encourages binge playing too, but not to the same extent. I know I'll be taking a break for dinner at least, hopefully others going for it will take at least small breaks as well.

We can create another award like that if you guys want to though, if you guys want to have multiple winners (which I think is kinda dumb but whatever). We'll talk about it after this competition is over.

Right now, the Velocity 2X one is running as is.
Whoops, basically said everything I said before I posted.

Yeah, I remember that. I was kinda tempted, but I've got quite a backlog of PSP games and didn't feel like it at the time. Hell, I've got a ton of Rockstar stuff and I've never played one of their games at all.

Mirrors Edge was one of the most boring games I've ever played. I think I made it to chapter three or four and said fuck that shit.
I think I died trying to climb a ladder. Multiple times. Not sure I made it past the first chapter. I am really good at recognizing my hatred for a game pretty quickly.

EDIT: Based on my trophy card I didnt even finish the prologue! HA!

EDIT 2: Was this one of the games that came out without trophies and then they were patched in later?

Mirror's Edge is awesome, except the putrid combat later in the game, which is in fact the worst thing ever.

I'll be rebuying for PS3 at this price.  I'm pretty sure my first playthrough was on 360.

Destiny review copies aren't going out til Sept 8. Speculate on that, won't ya?
Eh. No big deal with the huge alpha and beta that already happened. Nobody's going to have time to do a full playthrough and review, maybe, but enough people who wanted to play it already did and made up their minds.

When are we supposed to get our PS Play monies? If it is within the next few days I'll hold off on purchasing stuff today. Otherwise.. I don't wanna wait.

Wishing I hadn't just bought RDR for $8 at Walmart.

Really wishing I hadn't already unwrapped it. Dammit. Though I'm not sure how that works with their used games; if they don't have it in stock, an exchange doesn't really work as something for them to offer if there's a problem with the disc or whatever.

Fast Food employees are going to do a walk-out because they want to make $15/hour?

$15/hour!?!??!?!?  Holy fuck!!!  I'd quit my job and just go work fast food.

Also, how come fast food restaurants don't have touch screen kiosks for us youngins to be able to order on?  That is a great idea!

Isn't it $7.50 on PSN?

$8 retail > $7.50 PSN. You can sell it when you finish it, or give it to a friend to play.

They show why they are working in fast food. Stupidity. If any of the regular staff in a fast food place were to make $15 an hour they would have to close up shop then none of them would have jobs.

I don't have a single friend in RL who owns a PS3. Not joking at all. It's crazy. I know one person with a PS4, and none with a Vita. Everybody goes for the Xbox stuff.

I haven't played the game yet but I'm expecting grinding and long load times with the open-world approach with disc, so digital would have been better there. And it would have been $2.50 with GS, which I could resell. Or $5.16 throwing in Undead. So yeah. I went crazy with my ill-gotten Target Ghosts trade-in money, apparently.

Oh well. The trade-in is $4, so if I wait for a +50% promo I'll have gotten in for a couple bucks. Not too bad.

apparently this same thing happened last year? read an armchair analysis of it and it would (maybe) raise their wage costs (mcdonald's and 'yum!' brands who apparently owns KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut) from around $12b to around $20b.

$8 billion is not a tiny amount of money according to my calculator. now I'm go to try to get it to say boobies.

Lord knows I'm sure McDonald's has tried, but they haven't been able to develop something that is idiot proof. For a kiosk to work it would probably have to be at a restaurant with quite a small menu or quite a few items with very little customization.

yeah, i am surprised they are doing it again. Also just read that Home Depot was hacked.

Pretty sure we will all have to go back to the stone age and use cash for everything. Hackers are going to take down everything one day.

Sounds like a movie plot. Except they should be zombie hackers. And one of them should be in love with some gross, bug eyed looking chick who doesn't know how to smile without looking like she has Down's syndrome.

maybe computer voice recognition for order taking starting in the drive thru? if they can work through the problem with the wide ranges of regional and foreign accents. either that or smart phone ordering where you have to be located in the restaurant, pay with your phone and it returns an order number (maybe even vibrates when your order is complete like getting a table at a restaurant).

it has to be possible to get self service ordering working in fast food. I'd love to know what they've tried. not sure why this fascinates me so much right now, maybe it's the three fucking hours of sleep.

I tried out for jeopardy once with some friends. my friend made it to the end of the auditions but they told him his personality was too abrasive for television. so he knocked over a life size cardboard depiction of alex trebek on his way out.

They had one at a jack n the box over here but took it out because people were too stupid to use it (my guess since the one time I saw it everyone had to get the employees to help them)

Oh now they finally put Skate 3 DLC on sale, still pricey, but better than the $7 ($8?) I spent on each pack before. Also, I really want BFBC2 Vietnam, but I don't know if people still play it or not.
