I'm thorugh level 15 only a few perfects though.

I haven't actually even looked at the trophy list yet. I'll beat the game first then look.

Vig where you at? Jay's on a better pace than me. Munky is at 28. Velo around 25. Velo said he only has a couple perfects.
I just beat Level 18, with every one so far a Perfect.

The thing is, by doing something like that it creates jobs for engineers, mechanical repairmen, increases demand for steel or whatever they use to build all their automated machines, etc.

If those fast food workers want new jobs, they are now more motivated to attend a trade school, increasing the total level of education in the country.

This is how society advances and evolves using technology. I wish more people understood that.
But that would mean people would have to take responsibility for themselves and not blame it on the "man" keeping them down. Higher education is expensive and for some people its not worth it. What kills me is when people go to college for some bullshit degree that only qualifies them to be a barista at Starbucks and then complain about how bad the job market is and that they cant afford to pay back their loans. When I have kids they are going to go to college for a marketable degree.

Velocity 2 is pretty sweet. Platforming sections are a good addition. I hope one of you gets the platinum fast so the rest of you can slow down and enjoy it. Even early on some of the levels go on for a little while. I could see it being pretty frustrating trying to perfect them all in a short amount of time.

Levels are WAY longer than in the first game.

I'm really enjoying the platforming sections but they control a little oddly.

Seems like you can't shoot while sprinting, which would be annoying when going for the gold times.
It's not annoying at all; you just have to get the feel for when to sprint and when not to so you can shoot. You can shoot the rifle while running, but not 360-degree style.

Also, a small tip: You have to break every glass object to get the score needed for Perfect, even the ones that aren't guarding pods or crystals.

Thanks for the tips Vig. Jay was missing a lot of perfect scores by 5 or 10. I'm sure that's why.

Tyler, your post about top 5 or 10 could lead way to another cool idea. If you do one a month, you could do top 10 each month, assign point values, and then do a running leaderboard. First place, 10 points, 10th place, 1 point. Easy. End of the year winner gets a trophy.

But doing it this way, you're just rewarding someone who might have the largest amount of time on the start date. That's more unfair than awarding someone who might absolutely not be able to play Tuesday - Saturday or something. And as for someone always beating them, like I said make it a timed thing. You have from 9/1 - 9/30 to finish. Your plat has to be time stamped by that date.
Where the fuck were you guys last week when I was complaining about this very thing? All I heard were crickets.

Nice. We need to do a sort of "registration" poll too to see exactly who's competing to determine if we should do 5 or 10. I'm gonna run one now.

As reigning champ, I'm sure you're all interested to know that I've beat through level 35, 8 perfects so far (I was trying to get more perfects but then thought it might be easier once the ship upgrades to triple shot, etc), 9 bonus levels collected but I've only played one.  Breaking for dinner though.

fuck I'm annoyed. I followed the collectible guide on PST.org for TLOU to a T and apparently missed some conversations, shiv doors, and artifacts. I copy/pasted the entire thing into a friggen Word document and crossed off everything as I got it. fucking Jesus Christ. I was hoping to be able to just run through Survivor+, but now it looks like I'll have to do all god damn collectibles again.

Collectible guides that are missing collectibles piss me off so much.

BTW for SpaceMarine:

The end QTE battle sucked and was a huge disappointment. Other than that it was a bit of a balancing act for learning how to handle the slaughtering/healing component of the game since you do continue losing health when you're about to rip some HP out of an orc. Once you get that it's pretty fun though there are definitely points where you can die just about instantly; the pig bombs come to mind there.

It's not a great FPS, but the style and high level of violence made it a lot more fun to play than if it had been some generic shooter, IMO. I got it for really cheap and was happy with the experience.

Go into chapter select and you can see what you missed on each subchapter. Then just replay those.

Also, it was you ;)

You hear that, Zach? Another one buying the game!
As excited as I am about DP, I feel I need to warn everyone before they jump on it because of all the recent talk.

I love the game, but it's more of a great "B" movie; not a polished AAA. Very quirky and I've never seen a game switch directions and moods as fast as this one. It'll be all shits and giggles one minute and bloody murders the next.

In other words, some of you will love it but a lot of you are going to be disappointed.
