Destiny owners crying themselves to sleep right now

Digital people can't play for another hour and 20 minutes

Physical owners can't play without being disconnected

Servers are swamped, throwing up error codes all over the place according to reddit and twitter

and the digital games doesn't unlock for people in the US until 3AM EST/Midnight PST

In honor of 1,000 pages, I'm inviting you all to make fun of the way I look:

Sweet t-shirt.

Why does Stotch want to see pics of dudes so much?  I like that he tries to hide it with asking for pics of girls like Matt's sister.

BTW, that tee that money/jay/frisky/champ is wearing...makes so much sense.

Destiny plays great and now playing the retail version, I think double dipping on the alpha and beta wasn't the right choice. Haven't done the The Devil's Lair Strike, but curious why story progression hasn't continued. Weren't there four planets?

Under Defeat is really hard.  You can tell it was made for arcades and sucking quarters.  I watched a video of a guy who didnt get hit once playing the final boss.  I tried doing what he did and still got hit a lot.  Damn.  Fun game though.  And I see you can play two players and never really die as long as one guy is alive.  So I am going to use that "cheat" to get the plat.

Sweet, I got scheduled for training all morning. And I've already done it on my own, so basically just hanging out. Which means I'm going hard at these Velocity levels. I only have about 30 to perfect. The first 15 or so I did first try, and then a couple random ones. Oh and 50.

Did anyone have to grind out any of the in game awards, or did they all come naturally?

any sweet deals to get in on if I need to start a gamefly trial? it feels like there was something recently but I can't recall.
Are you just doing the trial to get a couple games with no plans on possibly signing up, or are you trialing it to see if you want to use the service? If the latter, I can send you a referral and if you pay for a month later, then we both should get a free month. If the former, then they pretty much just have the same trial option for free no matter how you sign up for it AFAIK.

Also, if you do plan to possibly get Gamefly, the best way is to use their gift certificates. You can buy them for yourself and then just use the code. They are ~$37 for 3 months of 2 at a time. I have pretty much stopped buying anything that is out on disc now due to having a subscription. I realized I was spending way more than $12 a month and I usually get the gift certs for Christmas and birthdays from relatives.

You'll have to grind 1,000 long teleports. Go to a map where you first start using them, I think I did 21 or something so I had five pods, lay them all down in the beginning, open up your map, and teleport to each one over and over and over.

It definitely gets easier to beat as you get further in, simply from getting more used to how to beat the bosses, where the enemies come from, the timing of the dodges, timing of the options, and which option is the best (cannon by far IMO.)

The final boss isn't too hard once you understand the approach to take. I think I cleared him on my last run with three bombs and died once. The three bombs were more to clear the screen of bullets than anything else. I suck at games like this, so just give it some time and you'll get it easy.

The PST.org trophy guide outlines the ones you have to go out of your way to get, but the only grindy ones involve boosting 100 times in a single level (mash R1/R/whatever 100 times) and teleporting with Pyramid 1000 times total.

Save that teleporting one as the very last thing you do for the Ripley trophy (and thus the plat), since otherwise you'll have to quit out of the level to track how many you've done, which is easily 7/10 Therms on the annoyance scale.

Thanks bros. Working on perfects, going backwards. I think I'm going to do the critical urgency ones first since those were always the toughest for me. Then I'll grind out some teleports once I'm done and I'll be finished.

I know very little about Skylanders; can any of you tell me if this is a good value for a kid who's new to Skylanders? I'm thinking of going with this instead of the new Skylanders or Infinity 2.0. I think he'll enjoy Skylanders more, and buying the older version will be cheaper.

don't listen to him pharmawren, it's too hard - just run 2 players at once and spam bombs. I finished my hard (extra) arcade play through doing nothing but that and was able to surf the internet and take a short cat nap while doing it. even accidentally got the trophy for 100% completion on the 2nd level.

I planned on it. Even on easy I was dying a good amount. Fun game but normal and hard play through will probably be 10/10 Therms.

I didn't find any appreciable difference between hard and easy. I think the bosses took longer to kill, but I was also eating a bowl of cereal and spamming hoop while doing it so I wouldn't say I was trying too hard.

whatever, tyler deserves a plaque or something for the reimagining of the button names. 10/10 antitherms
Alright, who is going to make an alt account named Antitherm and spend all their time talking about how much they like everything in every game and just generally how delightful everything is?
