That doesn't bother me. At least I would feel more comfortable actually going for the plat on-the-go and getting more than the single gold trophy I have so far from playing it on PS4.

This dude presenting at this meeting is weird. He is standing and he keeps leaning on this chair where this lady is sitting. His hand keeps getting closer and closer to touching her back. She is shriveled up in the corner of the chair looking miserable. Everyone keeps asking him questions so he cant wrap up the presentation. its kinda awkwardly hilarious.

I hate when people start asking stupid questions in meetings that prolong them. My current job has no meetings. It's pretty great having come from somewhere else where there were literally meetings about meetings. It was pretty horrific.

the ellie jokes in the last of us are absolutely the worst fucking kind of collectible. how anyone would collect these sans guide eludes me.

edit - to elaborate:

- no mechanism to track which ones you've 'gotten'
- glitchy
- requires certain easy to miss conditions to be met (i.e. perform these two tasks in the room first, THEN wait for Ellie to stop wandering. or make sure you save a certain dude as your last kill or it doesn't trigger. what???)

at least they're few and I imagine entertaining if I could get them to trigger. I missed the first one by a mile which means I'm almost certainly going to stotch the trophy.

speaking of the last of us, the game is fun as shit on easy when you have piles of ammo and a bunch of tricks up your sleeve (bombs, molotovs, shivs, etc). with all that you can try to stealth it but if you fuck up you can be all rambo about it without much repercussion. I can't imagine it being fun at all on these modes where there's like 3 shivs, one arrow and five parts the whole game.

I see Shadow Warrior PS4 has a $10 Gift Card for preordering in this weeks ad.  Do you have any experience with this?  Specificially, will that $10 GC offer stay active up til close to the release date?  Or is it probably just a one week thing?

From everything I've read the better experience is at the harder difficulties.

I was looking at that too and cant figure out what game they are referring to. The ad says Shadow Warriors. You said Shadow Warrior which is a game I would be interested in. But I wonder if they mean Shadow Warriors 4 which is also releasing the same date. Neither game has the $10 GC offer on their product page.

Add Shadow Warrior (without the "s") to your cart and the $10 GC should pop up in your cart as well.

EDIT: It's Samurai Warriors 4 releasing the same date. And that one doesn't come with a GC.

I noticed that, too. I'm waiting for the offer to show up on the product page before placing a preorder, since putting both the game and $10 GC in your cart right now doesn't zero out the GC. I can't recall a time at Best Buy when you had to place a preorder within a certain time period to secure a cash reward, so hopefully the offer will officially appear closer to SW's release.

EDIT: I just noticed your post that the GC appears in the cart, Tyler. Now I really have to debate whether I should preorder it now. :whistle2:k This is primarily a single-player game, right?

I posted on the BB Unboxed forum asking about end dates for the Shadow Warrior and Evil Within $10 Gift Card promos. If/when I hear back I'll post.

I'd like to pre-order one at a time (first Mordor, then trade in and pre-order Evil Within, then hopefully trade in and pre-order Shadow) so that I can recycle my trade in credit instead of having to pay cash.

For anyone wondering, the Queen's mission isn't too bad solo. It is just a level 24 version of the first mission so it is really short, just take the last part slow and you shouldn't have any trouble

Nope, the correct question to ask is for someone to pick the letter A or B, then the number 1-3 then use the following code to pick your breakfast: A = Roll B = Bagel, 1 = butter, 2 = cream cheese, and 3 = peanut butter. Because everyone in this thread LOOOOVES making decisions based on random letter and number codes.

I wish I had the time\dedication to go game to game like that and without the backlog as well. One day I'll get there.

Monster World 4 from the old Genesis/Mega Drive. Bought it on PSN back when Sega was having a lot of $1 sales for their old school games. It is a side scrolling action/sort of RPG game. Yes, digital only. $5 normal price.

As a reminder dont be afraid to click the PSNProfiles card whenever you want to know what game someone is playing. This is why we asked all the folks here to add their card.

I've never really done this before, but I want to try. I'm ready to play some real next-gen games. Mordor fits that bill, then I really want Evil Within to be good. Then Shadow Warrior is $32 after GCU + $10 GC so if I ever want to play it (I do) I might as well pick it up now for that price, play through it, and trade back in while the value is still high.

As for not having a backlog...hahahahahahahahahahhahah. I just updated mine, I'll post it in a minute so you guys can make fun of me.

I really lucked out getting a free copy from my reviewer friend.

And now that the embargo is over, I can say the game is pretty sweet. It feels A LOT like the original, so if you liked the original I don't see how you wouldn't like this one. There is a lot of content in the game, but a lot of it is just different challenges within the main story missions, so it's definitely going to get grindy as you play the same levels over and over if you want to go for everything.

The game is also a trophy machine. I got like 32 bronze trophies from about 6 hours of play. It's cool. 7 bronze trophies after I finished the tutorial level.

Yeah with those deals and gift cards it seems like a good way to go for it.

As for the backlog I'm in a similar boat but I'm starting to wonder if I just leave some games behind at a certain point and start fresh on the PS4. Either that or just squeeze them in between big releases. I think the free Plus games and PSN sales really hurt that effort though.

I'm trying to pile drive through some stuff now but I already broke my 1 game at a time rule on PS4. I have Assassin's 4 and Ground Zeroes now in that backlog. I want to play Peace Walker before Ground Zeroes so it holds me up. At least it's short compared to AC4.
