Could have sworn I saw somewhere that it wasnt cross buy. Sweet.

No way it will be on ps plus, but also no harm in waiting one extra day to see the October ps plus games before buying.

Simmias knows what about great music. I've seen Mike Watt about 5 times and he's amazing on the bass. I loved seeing Banyan at this small bar. Ever checked out Banyan Simmias?
Sadly I haven't. Man, I miss the west coast sometimes! Barely anyone comes out here to play.

lol, nah, it's cool if you don't enjoy the outlandish plot. Or how the codec buzzes in every few minutes. It isn't everyone's thing. But you called it the worst game EVAR. Crazy talk. I encourage you to play more games if that is truly the case. You ought to be able distinguish between something you don't enjoy (*cough* Demon's Souls) and a game that's objectively bad/broken.
Seriously. Go play Woodle Tree Adventures, Super Killer Hornet, Radical Roach, Final Slam 2, or any other number of broken, terrible games I've been playing through lately. If all you ever play is the critically acclaimed, then the worst game you've ever played is still going to be a really good game in its own right.

Stephan Marley was good last night and Thievery Corporation killed it. Thievery corp. played some new songs but the only bummer was they started at 8:45 and only played til 10:15. I'm guessing LA now how a noise ordinance for the surrounding neighborhoods. That was the earliest I've had a show end at The Greek especially for a Saturday night.

At least King Taco was fantastic after the show.

Whenever I see Mike Watt play it's just like watching Les Claypol. I can't take my eyes off their playing because they're bass gods. They make the bass look so easy to play when it's crazy hard.

That's certainly true. I generally don't play crappy games deliberately, which is going to really limit my exposure to them because a lot of those games you have to go looking for.

Simmias here's a clip that shows how badass Mike Watt is when playing. Mike Watt has played with Firehose, Banyan, Mike Watt & the Tom and Jerry show, and now he's been playing with Iggy and The Stooges.

Other than the waste of time from travelling back and forth in Jak II, it's not too bad. The scatter gun works fine. The blaster is pretty terrible to aim, though. Most of the missions have been easy enough, the only annoying ones so far have been the escort mission and the moneybags mission.

After finishing Batman AC I started on Spec Ops The Line. I had finished a chapter or 2 already previously. I figured i could use a short shooter, seems to be delivering so far...up to Chapter 4 now.

Jak 2 feels pretty similar to the first game in controls and camera. I'm a bit puzzled as to why they changed the tone and mission approach so much, though. I like the tone change, honestly, as three games like the first would have gotten very old, but the back-and-forth nature of one mission at a time (so far anyway) drives a lot more traveling to/from missions than I'd prefer. Maybe there's a better travel mechanic for shortcuts and I haven't yet seen it.
Holy shit... you actually like Jak 2??? Ain't that just the cherry on top.

Remember when you asked us about the worst games we had ever played? Jak 2 might make that short list for me.... 11 / 10 Therms.

Only thing that kept me going was that I was playing it with my son.

I didn't say I like it. I said it feels pretty similar to the first in a lot of ways. I was expecting it to be terrible. It's just kind of low-average at worst, though.

Just beat the raid with my clan. Got the dope ass Chatterwhite shader. That was fun as shit. Didn't take us long to beat the boss. I guess it just helps when we play while we're all fresh.
It depresses me to know that I'm good enough to do these things but will likely never be able to have the time or the schedule to organize it with others.

Hell, I can't even organize a group to get the weekly strikes done.

Jak 2 wasn't terrible. Just not fun compared to the 1st. They were trying to cash in a bit on the GTA craze.
Yeah. It's just gotten enough flack in here that I was expecting it to be pretty bad. It's definitely a letdown after the first game, but it's not terrible.

Jak 1 had some really nice level designs and such. The vehicle control and camera were the only things offhand I could say were bad about Jak 1, and both of those were clearly from aging. Jak 2 I can't really find anything nice to say about. The level design just isn't good at all in general, the back-and-forth travel is an annoyance, the story is a lot less focused, and the enemies and gunplay just don't seem to match up all that well.

I get the GTA angle, but they just made some really strange design changes here.

Rebirth looks to be pretty different. Not sure if playing the original would be particularly helpful for demonstration purposes.
The core of Rebirth is the same as the original, it's just been polished up, had a lot of new content added, and changed the art/music. It's not a different game so much as just a better version.

If Snakey were a super hero his name would be Bruhman. He would drive the Bruhmobile and his favorite meal would be Bruhlogna Sandwiches with Red Bruh and he always would eat it at Bruhnch. One of his powers would be super speedy stealth (because he creeps.) His main tool would be the Bruhmarang. His catch phrases would be "I Bruhked you up, Let's get Bruhk nasty and I told you not to Bruhk around." His costume would be made out of MicrophiBruh. His colors would be black and Bruhgundy with a Bruhking Bronco on the front.

I'm going to bed.
.... and you would be his sidekick, The Bruh Wonder

Cool, I think you'll like it. If you are interested in reading more about it when you're done (DO NOT read anything until you are done) I have a CAG blog post with links

Tyler, you'd enjoy this Packer game. There have been a good 5 unnecessary roughness penalties in it. Just cause Cutlers on the field doesn't mean everyone's a pansy.

In the spam of a handful of posts Snakeybro and Corgi have elevated themselves past the spider gifs and licking eyeballs to be the creepiest thing I've seen on the internet.
