I dont have any good lunch plans, but I am going to Brass Tap tonight with some friends.  That will surely make the (ex)wife happy!

So it has a "Daily Challenge"? That will probably get me to pick it up. I love those things, but hopefully some of you fools get it too so I have people to chase other than the elites.

 
And speaking of Daily Challenges, finally I could watch jkam's DC replay in Spelunky. Why'd it work finally? Don't know. Man you did terrible. Alas I didn't really do that much better. All games with a Daily Challenge should have replays like this. Fun stuff.

After simmias joke about the Vita sales, it for some reason made me want to check stock of the Vita around me again.  It was essentially like finding a unicorn when I decided to upgrade with the $50 coupon.  Now every Gamestop near me has more than 1 (since it doesn't say limited stock) when at that time only one store had a single bundle and the next one was 20 miles or so away.  Now there are 29 stores with more than 1 in stock (and another with 1) within 20 miles of me.  Are you guys seeing a similar type of restock in your areas?

Hopefully it will do well this holiday season, but I won't hold my breath.

Based on what you said before, I assumed you lived more North of town. That is out pretty far West (or is there another one besides the one in Oldsmar that I went to?).

I see they have St Bernardus on tap for you. A few of those would likely work as well as a few of your pills :)

EDIT: Nevermind, I see they are all over the place. I didn't realize it was a chain.

Heh. Xur with that Warlock weakness. I actually wanted another week of sunbreakers since I can finally afford them. Figures. With that I should be able to hit 30 (1 ex + 3 raid gear, right?). Still rocking shitty ass guantlets from the queen. #noaltstruggle
 
Early word from people at Pinball Expo is that The Big Lebowski pinball machine (real machine) is pretty awesome even with early software. Man I wish I could afford one (and had a place to put it).

Exotic helmet means I won't have to do hard mode raid under leveled so I'm happy. I also have the raid gauntlets though.

Yeah, its a chain alright. We are going to the one in Wesley Chapel which isnt far from my house. It is usually pretty crowded too as its in a nice outdoor mall that everyone goes to. The weather today is awesome too. High is only 81 and the breeze is actually nice and crisp/cool. Finally getting some fall weather.

 
I'm glad Sony is doing so well sales wise, they deserve it...they've focused on games and that's what I care about out of my gaming console.

Seems like SOM at 350k is on the low side for a big budget game, hopefully it's profitable since it's a good title and we obviously want more like it.

I've had my PS TV since tuesday but still haven't opened it. Just haven't gotten around to it...maybe over the weekend. Although AC4 is keeping me pretty busy...game is BIG.

Ya they kinda forgot to mention in the article that one of the big reasons so many people purchased it digital is because of the limited time crossbuy option, buy PS3 and get the PS4 version for free. That even nearly convinced me to get it, and I wasn't really sold by the beta.

Pharm, after thinking about it, I ended up getting the hunter helmet. I also got an exotic chest piece for him too, so now I have something to switch over to if I ever decided to go to blade dancer.

I went with the helmet because:
1. It gives an extra shot for my golden gun
2. The Truth is an exotic rocket launcher, and since I'm always using exotic secondaries, I wouldn't be able to equip it anyway
3. Helmet is the most expensive piece to buy from the vanguard

I tried doing the nightfall solo with my 27 warlock, and I just couldn't. I couldn't hit the captains hard enough in the refinery to lower their shields fast enough. Plus they're bitches who run and hide the second you hit them. I'll level a little more and give it another shot. I only need 4 shards to get to 28, so I'm sure I can make that happen.

IGN gave Natural Doctrine a 2.8. You can tell from the review that the guy didn't understand the gameplay at all. Obviously that could be an issue either with the game not explaining things well or with him just being an idiot. Probably a 30/70 situation, tbh.

Reminds me of this time I saw some retard call MGS2 the worst game of all time because he couldn't figure out the story and sucked at the game.

I was talking to my brother about this machine and he was saying that one of his friends is going to buy the Big Lebowski table. This game looks true to the movie.

Let's Fish update: finally finished one of the story modes and all the challenges and got a bunch of trophies which was fun. However, to finish the plat I would have to:
- catch 220 more fish
- catch 1200 more pounds of fish (so I'd have to average 6 pounds per catch)
- finish the other three story modes which requires something like 35 challenges each that you have to finish in first place

Best guess is that I'd clock in another 8 hours or so to accomplish that. Also I would have to start a new game just to get a glitched trophy (I finished challenge mode without getting the trophy for starting challenge mode).

I finally started this game for real and I regret it. I wish this was more like the fishing from Digimon World or yakuza.

Pix the Cat and Deadly Premonition on the other hand, I should have started sooner.

350K seems low to me, but it released the last week of the reporting month so that could affect it a little. Though video games sales numbers are obviously hugely front-loaded.

 
Rolled the dice on exotic armor and got Lucky Raspberry, ew. I'm gonna start leveling my other two characters though so I threw it in the vault.
 
I don't even want to go to Taco Bell because I don't want a Big Box, but if I don't get that it feels like a waste since I won't get a contest entry. Backfire?

Is anyone in here getting CoD: Advanced Warfare at launch? Depending on how quickly I finish The Evil Within, that might be the next game I preorder from Best Buy to work on before Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Yeah, the level is randomly generated each day and there are specific daily leaderboards that reset every 24h. The levels aren't hugely different, but enough so that I played for a good few weeks and didn't get bored of them during that time. I can see the daily leaderboards being a ton of fun if a lot of people on your friends list play the game and are into it (would make a decent month long thread contest, similar to your Spelunky idea).

I kind of feel the same way, am thinking of going back today but I'd prefer it if they let you choose from a list of multiple items of what you want to put in your big box. Like 1 larger item 2 smaller ones and bam my own personal custom big box with a winning PS4 code.

Sounds like you downloaded the vita version and not the PS3 version. Vita versions say PS3 because you can download them to move them to the vita.

I bought it on release day at Best Buy. After a couple hours I knew I wanted to hold onto the game for a while. So the following week I traded it back to BB and bought Destiny with the season pass on PSN. Partly because I can play it on my PS3 with my nephew and also because I knew I wouldn't likely want to trade it any time soon. I think PS+ on my Vita and PS3 has gotten me a bit more receptive to digital only games.

For most retail $60 games though I am still going the physical route. Since I have BB GCU unlocked it is better for me to buy the game from BB play it and trade it back. Most games I don't replay but the ones I do I kind of like not having to dig out the disc.

 
I got a box the other day, haven't used the code yet, but I got it to go and they just tried to give me the food in a bag.  I had to tell them to give me the box.  Seriously, you lazy fuck s, you want $15 an hour and you can't be bothered to give out the promo part?

What the hell. First chewy and others and now you have issues with Taco Bell? I never have these issues at T Bell.
