Looks like Gamefly's daily deals have started again, though there's only Xbone/360 stuff today (aside from Sacred 3 on PS3 ). Hopefully we'll finally see LEGO Marvel ( :ps4:) for $9.99 at some point.

Cue the MS fanboys pointing to this as another example of why PSN sucks.

"A firmware update caused the whole network to go down? Hahahahha lame!"

Of course the obvious response:

"Not enough people own an XB1 for a firmware update to put a dent in the Live servers."  Oooooh, that's cold.

Maybe, but no way should PSN have gone down due to the firmware update. That's pretty lame if that's what caused it.

CAG seems to have crashed and burned too (almost). If the PSN 2.0 firmware brought PSN down, that is pretty lame. Seems like they could have spaced out these auto-downloads to avoid this problem.

I wonder what the difference between officially and unofficially will turn out to be. Good to see Walmart, Target, and BB will all be giving 50% TIV bonus that week, though.
And each with their own potential terrible experiences!

Target: Only Mobile employees can do trade-ins and they have erratic/unpredictable "lunch breaks".

Best Buy: You might not get the 10% GCU bonus on your trade, even if you ask the employee to check that it was added before finalizing the trade. This is a moot point if you don't have GCU.

Walmart: Clueless employees may not even know they have a trade-in program, let alone know how the process works. In other words, it's Walmart being Walmart.

I dunno, I thought it was a pretty big deal back when DoS was being developed. He even did the motion capture for Smaug's movements.

Benedict Cumberbatch can fly?

It's hard to tell. I don't think either of us could really qualify as normal enough to not come at this from a nerd point of view. We're both pretty aware of stuff like this.

True, but it makes it easier to do a comparison. I'd be kinda shitty to see them each do it on different weeks and you're left potentially regretting that you traded in at the wrong place.

PSN web store briefly was ALMOST up. I got a login screen which wasn't terribly responsive, but then I got a malformed confirmation of login page and now nothing again. Mandatory PS+ revenue sure is working its magic….

Good point.

...On both counts.

Sherlock is great. Elementary is pretty fun, too, though completely different. People seem to pitch fits about one or the other being better, for some reason. Benedict Cumberbatch was apparently a bit of an ass and asked Johnny Lee Miller to not even do Elementary. Here's JLM's somewhat famous response:

At least it was reported that Cumberbatch asked him not to do it. He's come out and said he was misquoted since. Who knows?

Sherlock is the only reason I know who Benedict Cumberbatch is. Love that show.
I usually love the first episode and the 3rd episode of every season, except last season, all 3 episodes were good. Usually the middle episode is just some random case-of-the-week style episode not connected to the overall plot of the series.

I don't understand. Stotch has already made it clear that it's the 3rd one that sucks.

He'd be wrong. S1E3 and S2E3 are both amazing. I was a bit letdown on S3E3, though.

Sherlock ended up completely outclassed in a way that was just disappointing.

S3 was still quite good overall, though, since the second episode didn't drag it down as what happened in the first two seasons.

"Sign in failed"

But at least the page comes up now. It's a start. Mostly I just want to buy Costume Quest 2 and get it downloading… and bring down PSN again. Straw on camel.

That's why whenever they do these buy X $ and get money back promos, just have the end date on the Wednesday after the last store update instead of the day of, I am sure it would reduce 80% of the questions they get about at what time the promo ends on the last day if they added an extra day buffer.

Question for you, Velo: This is from the guy I mentioned earlier, but I noticed shortly after the 24:00 mark that he takes a hit and doesn't die. Is he really playing on Akumu?

anyone got a suggestion for 39.99 or more game from best buy?

Still pissed that metro redux is on sale for 35.

Need a game for the 30 GCU promo.

Costume Quest 2 isn't supposed to have a PS+ discount right? I guess the sensible thing to do would be to wait a while, but I ain't got no sense! (Update for ugly: PSN store is back up)!
