give or take 50+ deaths that I paused and reloaded auto save cuz I knew I was gonna die anyway. wootwootwoot

and that final double keeper battle, easy as pie, i had so many bolts saved up they never left their spawn i spammed them with all my shock/freeze/explosive and magnums.

and Mobius is the new Umbrella, only one reference of them in the game really so i took a pic of it.

Vig, I know you will get the plat this week. It's awesome they made the difficulty so hard and the game changes slightly, you will enjoy it. Just off the top of my head, the binoculars, the traps, the mannequin factory, enemy speed and awareness, and even the final final 'headshot' are different and great.

Congrats! I really want to get the plat before I pick up Advanced Warfare on Tuesday, but at the rate I'm going (Ch. 11 on speedrun at ~2.5 hours, still have Casual no-upgrade run to do before Akumu), it doesn't look good. :???:

Are any PSNOT regulars getting the Evolve alpha (aka demo)? Want to try it out sometime this weekend? Don't expect me to be good. I'm basically a punching bag in FPSs.

I could use some direction from those of you who know a lot about computers. Looks like I caught a virus somewhere and can't get rid of it. I have avast and it was constantly announcing that it was blocking attacks. I did a full scan and it found 3 files. Separated those and everything was fine for about a week. Then last night it started back up again right before i had to go to work so i disconnected my internet and when i got home started another full scan.

48% complete and already has found 160 infected files... WTF is going on?

And no, it's not from watching porn.

EDIT: Also noticed that when it was blocking attacks it was blowing up my laptop with com surrogate processes. Would notice it laboring and the fan kicking on, so i would pop open task manager and notice a dozen of these things eating up resources.

Which chapter are you in right now? Flying "bullet bill" swords you can jump over the top of or if they are approaching your upper body you can swat them out of the air with a sword wipe. The narrow moving platforms which are thin horizontal but long vertical you can wall kick up the front which is preferable to trying to stop on top after a dash.

Have you tried running MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware? I run those occasionally because they're free but very effective.

 
I was going to try MBAM after the scan. I've never bothered with any of it because I figured avast was doing it's job.

68% now and 182 infected files. This is fucked up.

For some industries because the fax infrastructure is already in place and it is easier and quicker for them, particularly if it is a document with more than one page or it requires a signature. For an individual sending things periodically it would make more sense to scan and email, but not everyone in some industries are so technically minded.

top - if it were me (which I know it's not) I'd focus on isolating the stuff you care about - pictures, documents, save files, etc - and moving them to a separate location like a usb stick / drive (that you could easily scan/cleanup from another computer). then just nuke the whole thing from orbit and rebuild from the vendor restore disk/partition or whatever. once it's that much of a mess it never seems worth the repeated time and effort to try to clean it up. just my 2c of course.

seriously, fax machines are the fucking worst. it's two thousand and motherfucking fourteen for christ sake! not only do we NOT having flying cars, WE'RE STILL USING GODDAMN FAX MACHINES!!!!!!
 
For what it's worth, I use Microsoft Security Essentials and have never had any problems with it. It seems like I always picked up something when I was using Avast and AVG.

Munky does suck at Spelunky too so that might have been part of the problem as well.

Amatures Stotch did the platforming section for me in the Destiny Raid via share play. Said it was lagging but he still got it done after a couple of attempts.

 
PS4s still $360 on eBay. I wish some Black Friday ads would go ahead and leak so I could find out if it's worth waiting. Since I wouldn't get charged tax on eBay, it may not be worth the hassle of trying to nab one on Black Friday.
