Patch worked perfectly for me. Played like 4 games in a row (my first time getting multiplayer to work since it came out).
 
Finally back to getting trophies in Okami. I love this game. Only took me around 11 hours or so to get back where I was, so not the terrible disaster that it felt like at the time.

Tyler - Damn, you were robbed of a very promising run.  You hit so many crates that I missed, and I totally should've robbed that 1-4 Bomb Store cause what did me in in 4-1 was having zero bombs, haha.
 
MildObstruction - That guy may have killed you but at least he died too after flinging your corpse around for 30 seconds. 
 
Crunchy - Holy crap did that 1-4 shopkeeper wreck you, lol.  8 bombs to take him out and then the ghost comes barreling in?  I'm curious though, why do you always seem to rob from the first store regardless of its contents?  Is it just for the security of the shotgun?  Nice rest of the run, you played well for being locked out of the Black Market.  And you had the opposite inventory problem as mine; you ran out of ropes and needed them in the ice caves, I ran out of bombs and needed them in the temple.     :D

I must be crazy--I was going over the Black Friday ads (really just Best Buy's ad) to finalize what I want to try to get, and I now have this weird urge to buy The Evil Within on PS3 for $15.99 after GCU so I can go for that version's plat. :whee:

I actually made it out of the jungle this morning. But it was using the shortcut and going straight for the exit right away without worrying about exploring. Immediately got alien-dropped in Iceland of course.

I wanted the shotgun and the few bombs there and the gold from the shopkeeper and I didn't need to use rope and bomb to get them because of the ice gun. It was an easy kill, so I did it. :)

I don't always rob the 1st shopkeeper. If I have to use bomb and rope and he has nothing worthwhile I don't do it. And yes, I really wish I had more rope.

all things considered survival + no upgrades just wasn't that hard. it required some creative solutions to problems sometimes and probably could be blamed for a number of extra deaths, but you'd have no problem.

ac unity update: last time I'll bitch about coop, but thought I'd share for the curious:
now that I've finished all the coop missions and most of the heists, I feel pretty comfortable saying that:
1) coop in assassin's creed feels like a huge waste of time
2) just forget about platting this game without getting your feet pretty wet in the coop, and definitely forget about pulling it off solo (it's probably _technically_ possible, but it'll easily take 2-3 times longer and you still require coop partners for two trophies.)

otherwise the coop scenarios are bland, they're not really fun save a few moments here and there, and add absolutely zilch to the game. I actually had more fun doing wolfpack solo. PLUS THEY ADDED COLLECTIBLES INSIDE THE COOP MISSIONS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR ANOTHER TROPHY. fuck THAT.

currently ac:unity is on the short road to being my least favorite ac game so far. coop is only part of the problem really, and the technical issues that reviewers bitched about aren't even on my radar for the list of reasons why. maybe I'll make a big cranky spoilered list, but as a lameass that has 100%/platted nearly every AC game on some console or another (except the vita one and its goddamn save corruption bug) I'm pretty amazed at how far off the mark it is generally.

on the pro side, the period storyline so far is just fine and it is definitely purdy.

and as a grown adult man who can totally admit that he's wrong, I can say that after playing spelunky more it's really not the most gut wrenching, sick inducing, full smoking plate of crap in a styrofome box game that I've ever played in my life.

I still believe that everyone that genuinely likes it is a gigantic dong though.
 
I don't have the DLC for Mario Kart 8 yet, but I will definitely get it if we are really going to play. I'm Crunchewy on Wii U as well. Send FR.

Those no backup plans aint bad either if you use defender on the titan like i do. increased duraction of force barrier along with the perk to make it constantly regen could be pretty solid. Can use that buff from the gauntlets instead of the perk and that way you can use the perk that keeps ward of dawn active longer.

Yea, basically just talked myself into these gauntlets I think.

You can do that key run. It's not easy, but it's not quite as hard as you think. Heck even Tyler did it. What more proof do you need?

 
LoL. Xur with that weakness. Passing on MIDA. Already have Vision of Confluence (four, actually...smh). If you need a scout I suppose it's a good look but I'm not a fan of them. At least this saves me from running the weekly another two times. That and nightfall are a bitch this week. God.
 
It is interesting that WalMart has a PS4 with a $50 gift card now when I did not even recall that being a Black Friday option.  If they did the bundle with the $50 gift card I would have more hope for November sales numbers.  If that Destiny bundle was $400 with the gift card instead of $450 at least it would be possibly more interesting for holiday buyers.

I only have one Vision of Confluence and it is equipped on my Warlock. I like that it fires pretty fast. I haven't used it too much though so it isn't fully leveled up yet. I think it will be pretty sweet when it is.

Good to hear. I'll probably play Unity on PC in a few years, then, rather than on PS4. That way I'll feel better about skipping all the bullshit and just doing the story.

Apparently the NewEgg app is designed to make a perfectly serviceable website much, much worse. Also, even though there is a newegg app for iOS, and you can use Google Checkout, it doesn't appear to give you the $15 off. They are insistent on Android.

Yep. And a higher likelihood of patches (official or otherwise) for the many issues the game is having right now. I detest co-op play most of the time, so that whole aspect of the game just doesn't appeal to me at all. If there's a situation where I can play Unity for free on PS4 I'll probably go for that, but if I have to pay for whichever version I get it'll probably be the PC one.

I've had some shitty runs. If I don't steal from the Shopkeeps I end up dying around the jungle cuz of dumb mistakes and lack of shotgun. If I do steal from them I can't seem to get out of the mines. I'm surprised I'm in 3rd, I'm lucky Uglypete hasn't taken this way too seriously.

Wow you and Soph are close, Soph has made some great runs to catch up. Ugly and I can possibly play spoiler if one of us can actually put together a decent run and top one of you. Seems extremely doubtful.

Key run is piss easy compared to some of the other shit you have to do later in the game. If you get a cape or jetpack early you should be golden.
