How can Best Buy charge more than other companies for the same game

First of all, your topic makes no sense. And second of all, they can charge whatever they want. Why do you care anyway? Get it somewhere else...

Seriously. Why can't you form a coherent topic sentence?

If it's $10 more at BB, get it somewhere else.

For a second I thought you were talking to me.

#1 Nobody should pay $20 or $30 for a piece of feces, but you're ready and willing. Buy the "crap" elsewhere.

#2 They don't like you.

point is i seen a few games maybe more then a few that BB charges 10 bucks or more for them... now people have to be buying them or they wouldnt do it.... so you would think if store A see best buy do this others will follow

i got it coming off overstock for 10 anyways

If the MSRP is $19.99, it is very curious that Best Buy's price is higher.

It can appear as "backordered" if Best Buy doesn't have any units in stock (for example, if they haven't received any yet).

It still doesn't excuse the subject. How about something like this: "Why does best buy charge $10 over retail price for World Poker Tour?" or even "How can Best Buy charge more than other companies for the same game?" If you're

Just using a random acronym (WPT) doesn't mean everybody (or even anybody) knows what you're talking about. JSW was a great game, don't you think?

P.S. clariste: have you played it or read any reviews, or are you just "reviewing" the game based on the title?

you would think that, but you're wrong

I've seen BB do some really weird things. Things like the price being as high as double the MSRP, when the MSRP is printed somewhere on the front of the item. Often when they see this they change it and its back to normal. I bet BB doesn't know the MSRP on all items until they actually get the item in their hands so they preprice the MSRP high. When they actually get a shipment and the MSRP listing maybe they're a little slow making adjustments.

the title is informative enough for me to know it's crap
Who the hell buys poker video games anyway? GET SOME FRIENDS.
I agree. The people who buy Madden, Tiger Woods, FIFA, etc are just wasting their money and instead should gather some friends together and play some real ball.

Also, you RPGamers need to shelve your Final Fantasies and Lunars, grab your d20 and play some D&D.

amirite?

MSRP is exactly that the Manufacturer's SUGGESTED Retail Price. Retailers can charge whatever their little hearts desire for an item. They just know that if they are not the lowest they won't get the business... capitalism as someone mentioned earlier.

Man, this guy's sentences are crazy. I just don't understand how he can do that.

If that game, which I'm too lazy to check on, as it most likely sucks, has been more expensive and was lowered, (say from $30 to $20) Best Buy may not be on top of it. Furthermore, they can charge whatever they want. Did you happen to see that one topic with the store in the casino?

I know. I really want him to start a podcast. I'd love to hear him talk.

With them issuing GCCs and Reward Zone discount certificates like crazy, I am not surprised to see their regular prices are jacked.

Yea! Also, you guys who love your Halo and Half-Life, get off your lazy ass, and start killing people!

It doesn't seem like you care very much for videogames. Unless of course your comment was a joke.

Gee, I dunno... he sounded serious to me.

Anyway, I'm going to buck the trend of rooting for this game to suck. I enjoy watching WPT on television, and I hope this game will capture the presentation well. By which I mean, will feature lots of Shauna Hiatt.

Getting the chance to play against digital representations of Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, and Mimi Rogers would be a bonus.

It is being published by 2K games, and they usually don't publish crap, right? Maybe it has a chance?

Q. "How can Best Buy charge more than other companies for the same game"
A. Because Best Buy purchased the games, and can price them however they like.

What the hell man? Do you even try to make posts that make any sort of sence?

poker tour is the best poker game i have played on any system yet

Well I remember EBGames and Gamestop use to charge $54.99 for new Gamecube/PS2 and Xbox games when the systems first launched.

I use to think that I actually got a bargain when they sold me a used game for $49.99. -_-
