This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

About $3.60US here, but that's not so appealing when I already got a copy for one key.
I got in on the same deal (1 CS:GO key), but this is the best deal people who just want to deal with PayPal and not shady Russians, are gonna get, I think.

the gamersgate price on ghost recon future soldier is the historical low, it is the only ghost recon I do not have on steam.

I'm just not sure I want to support gamersgate after what it did to this thread yesterday....
But Uplay!

I posted something on reddit about liking both consoles and pc gaming and what everyone offers. A clearly Sony fanboy reposed with some drivel about Playstation Vue and how it will destroy xbox one. Whatever I don't care.

But his next comment? "sadly, PC gaming doesn't offer anything besides indies and beautiful graphics for year old games."

I get that PC gaming is not for everyone, but how can anyone seriously type something so dumb?
Well, before a lot of console games were getting PC ports, I could kind of understand that logic. But the amount of PC ports available (in a timely manner even) has skyrocketed in the last few years, most specifically with the newest batch of home consoles (Xbone/PS4) because of how similar they are to PCs that porting is practically flipping a switch (at least for everyone besides Ubisoft). Consoles' main strengths at this point in time (in my opinion) are their convenience, local play and the few remaining exclusives they have left. For some people, that's enough to stick with them (I'd be in this camp), but I can see why others wouldn't want to bother.

Oh, and don't forget the certain areas of the world with devs that are resistant to bother with the "non-existent" PC market. It's good to see that finally changing though, albeit slowly.

Except you have to scream at them for really obvious shit like resolutions above 720p, fps above 30 and pretty much any configurable options at all beyond sound volume.

They aren't big on the whole know your market thing. Baby steps I guess.

I mean I prefer console gaming usually, it's just more convenient for me. My retina MacBook has a halfway decent laptop card that'll allow me to play most games.

I have grown to appreciate PC gaming more and I plan to build a rig soon. My wife doesn't play games, but she said "build us a PC sometime this year, I know you'll want to build it for gaming or whatever. Build a nice one, don't skimp out either, just make sure it's something that will last awhile."

Even so, I still find myself playing console games a lot, especially with friends. But even the most idiotic know that PC gaming offers a superior experience graphically and with mods, etc.

I'm terrible at joining groups.  I'll press a "Vote Yes" button for games I like but I never join the groups and don't get my keys.

Reload looks like it'd be fun for a few minutes but I suppose that, for a $5 game, I can wait the six weeks before it's bundled.

At the risk of repeating myself, I'll just say once again that I miss the days when consoles had something unique to offer.  Now, if I'm going to be backlogging the same games, I might as well do it on the PC where I can get five for a dollar instead of one for twenty.

My wii u gets some attention from me when I need a mario type fix. My kids also enjoy the wii u, ps3, 360 and one. If I didnt have kids I would probably have sold off my ps3 and 360 by now and wouldnt have a one.

You can still join the group, I just did. But I guess I never voted for it on Greenlight so I'm not eligible.

The wii u still imo has the best exclusives out right now on any of the big 3 and PC

I was surprised they actually had their shit together and checked that.

Oh and these are the same guys who put Gurumin on Greenlight. I know some people were worried about that but looks like they have a solid distribution system in place. Once they actually release the game of course.

Maybe, but I'm not shelling out $250 just for the console and $50 per game, not when I already have 1200 games in the backlog. Also I'm just not that into Mario anymore. In fact, looking at the list of top-rated WiiU games the only ones I have even a passing interest in are Bayonetta and Smash. I'd actually rather have a 3DS for Zelda. A Link Between Worlds actually sounded interesting.

If you think PC game hoarding is a rabbit hole, it has nothing on PC building.

It's also lots of fun. Check out the "Build A PC" thread and feel free to ask questions in there. It's an old and outdated topic but commenters in that thread were V useful when I built my PC.

I want a 3ds but I don't think I would ever play it. I know I'll get to my Wii U games, which will include pretty much any high profile release, but w/a 3ds I would buy it, play LInk Between Worlds, buy Ocarina/Majoras Mask and probably never play them.

Edit: Amazon has a gold box deal for Far Cry 4 for 30 bucks. I don't think it's Steam, though. And it's retail. So yeah.

lego city undercover is the best lego game in the history of lego games!!!! Wonderful 101 is also underrated in my eyes. Smash was disappointing for me. Mario 3d world is my favorite mario of all time, sure you can get the 3ds version but when I'm on my couch I'd rather be looking at a TV than a handheld.

ALBW is the best Zelda in years. So much fun

Also 3dland/world aren't the same game, from what I've read.

Pretty much same game different maps, world has cat mario. I have both and play 3d land when I have to go out of town on business.

But I cant really play 3d land with the 3d on, I get a headache after about 20 minutes. Doesnt seem to bother my kids, they must have better eyes than me.

Is there an easy way to see if you voted? (I'm at work so logging into Steam is a pain or else I'd look for myself; I'll check when I get home)
Just join the group and sign into the website to see if you're eligible for a key. If you are, you voted. If you aren't, you didn't. That's how I found out.

So, instead of fleabaying my spare parts, I've decided to convert my HTPC into a controller friendly gaming HTPC. I know some of you are rocking a G3258, I was wondering what your experiences are with it.  I'll probably throw in my 7870, so the CPU will bottleneck first, but I won't be playing anything too taxing.  Maybe some Dark Souls or some racers, anything that I'd prefer using a controller/wheel with.

Aren't they checking whether you commented on the group or not? Because I think, that was a requirement at that time and comments were locked once the game got greenlit.

Looks like Nuuvem is having a little Carnival sale through the 18th. Nothing stands out for me today, but there's a LotR: Mordor Bundle (Steam) for about $25 (Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor; Lord of the Rings War in the North; LEGO Hobbit; LEGO Lord of the Rings; Guardians of Middle-Earth) that might be nice if you are a fan and have none of these (why??). And for people born yesterday, there's a Rockstar Bundle (Steam) that's decent for about $7 (Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition, L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition, Max Payne 3 & Max Payne 3: Rockstar Pass)

 :baby:
Hmm is that the lowest price for the rockstar bundle???

They probably took members list soon after greenlit, I probably didn't comment and still got a key.

In Old Lady Big Fish gaming news, Mumbo Jumbo had a pretty serious bug with Midnight Mysteries: Salem Witch Trials

That's why I only trust Jessica Fletcher to deliver quality hunt n' peck games.....

Oh and regarding the bug in Salem Witch trials...I sense...WITCHCRAFT!!!!

Yesterday, I emailed the developer of Aerena the screen shot of my Steam account with Aerena Founder Package dlc showing. Got the key for Master Edition the next day.

Very nice developer!
Going through the topic right now, but could you PM, or post, the email address? I actually played the game for a couple hours and enjoyed it. Would love an upgrade!! (reduce the grind hopefully)

It won't let me add the rockstar bundle to my cart.

Where does your uncle's cousin live? Maybe it wasn't region locked there.
We live in US.

Really hmm I checked this page http://www.nuuvem.com.br/produto/2370-grand-theft-auto-iv-complete-edition and it says REGION LOCKED so i dont know if it will work here in the US
Weird they must have changed something. The copy I bought before still works. I've never used anything like a vpn and it let me buy it once before without trouble. I blame Rockstar.

The key CAN be activated in the US, but 2K Games doesn't let anyone outside of Brazil add their stuff (ANY game of theirs) to the cart.

At least, not without a VPN.

Nordic Games is the same except some of their games are region locked to Brazil to boot.

So I should use a VPN to just buy the game and once I have they keys emailed they will activate with no problem??

They don't email the keys to you, they show up in your Nuuvem account page.

Also I really wouldn't use a VPN to buy stuff, it's too risky - in the sense of getting your payment info stolen by someone.
