I remember back when Taco Bell did the morning breakfast burrito's and they were delicious.  McDonald's copied them and everyone was like WTF?!? Then Taco Bell stopped their breakfasts.  McDonald's burrito's were delicious.  I note that every state I go into seems to have a different sized burrito.

But if I had a choice, Chick-Fil-A is my jam for breakfasts.  I'm pretty sure I single-handedly funded that franchise up in MD.  That place was delicious.  There's nothing as sadistic as eating a chicken, egg, and cheese biscuits.  You eat the mommy and the baby all in one deliciously wrapped biscuit.

Now all I want to do is go to Red Robin and get a "Big Kahuna" burger (actual name Banzai - teriyaki and pineapple). That *is* a tasty burger!
Why the fuck would you pay that much for a burger? I took my family there ONCE for dinner & the bill was over $70 for fuck ing burgers, fries & drinks! No booze, no extras. I almost lost my damn mind. fuck that place!

OT: Still waiting for GTA V @ 75+% off. Also 4 +1s away from 1000.

I've been playing the Killing Floor 2 beta for a couple of days now. It's a pretty limited version of the full game so it's hard to come away with a defining opinion. I know a lot of people here have expressed interest in the game, so hopefully everyone can get a beta key through that giveaway.

So far, I can safely say that it's more Killing Floor. If you liked the first game, you will like this game. If you didn't then it's hard to see why you would like this version. Having said that, why the hell wouldn't you like the first one??

You can clearly see the difference between the two. The first game was essentially a modification of Unreal Tournament 2004. The server browser and all of the GUI was derivative of that game. Here we have an update, not only in the technology, but also in the sense that it no longer feels like a mod, but a fully realized game. Unreal Engine 3 is a nice step up from Unreal Engine 2 and the level of detail has increased substantially. The GUI and server browser are all snappy, modern, and easy to use.

The gameplay is largely the same, Part of that is due to the fact that the zeds of KF2 are mostly the same as KF. There's one new creature in the beta, but he's not much different than the lowly clot. According to the official site there are to be more added. The boss has some unique tactics, but he's handled similarly to the original Patriarch. I'm hoping to see some unique challenges from the other new bosses they are adding. Some zeds have learned new tricks (climbing rails, for instance), but it will all feel familiar to those that have played the original.

One of the most intriguing tweaks they have made to the game is the leveling system. There are still separate classes (medic, berserker, commando, support, etc), but only those four are in the beta -- more to come in the EA version. You still passively increase your skills and effectiveness by reaching new levels, but there are now 25 levels instead of 6. I reached my first in about 90 minutes, so you can see that the early milestones come a little more quickly than they did in the first game. In addition to passive skill leveling, every few levels you can also choose talents. These have the potential to allow you to customize your abilities a bit, which is nice.

I've spent most of my time playing on just two of the three included maps: Paris and Biotics Lab. Many more will be added. In addition to looking great, each level seems to be a good deal more complex than its predecessors. This is good in that it greatly increases the variety of options you have for retreat, but it also means you'll probably spend a lot less time entrenched in a single spot on the map. It's hard to find a spot that doesn't have at least one disadvantage. And once welded doors have been broken down -- they're gone for good. Another important change is that it's now possible to sabotage yourself a bit by shooting out light sources. You can see how that might put your team at a disadvantage. I hope that isn't a source of future griefing, but the levels they've included so far have plenty of natural light, and you could probably just move if it became a problem.

You've all seen the videos featuring the gore system. It looks good. My favorite part is seeing the levels get increasingly more soaked with blood and gore as the rounds go on.

Like I said, it's really early and there are only hints at what will be included in the final game. It's also difficult to tell how the perk changes and unknown new enemies might change the game at this point. Fans should be happy with the upgrade. If you were put off by the older engine when you played before, then you might enjoy this version more. If you didn't like the game the first time, then you're going to want to wait and see how it looks in a few months before making a decision.

Hopefully I'll see some of you out there.

It's 10 bucks for a burger and fries.  Up here, you can spend that much @ Burger King.  I mean, I guess you get a large soda @BK but I mostly get Red Robin to go and have loads of drinks at home.  I dont see it as being that much more expensive.  It's right in line with Five Guys and damnit, it *is* a tasty burger :).

Zounds! Well, it's not that bad down here yet. Fast food prices have certainly been on the rise over the last few decades, like everything else, but I can still get two meals from the usual suspects like Mickey D's, BK, or Wendy's for about $16. Anything that refers to itself as "casual dining" translates to around $25 for two people.

We just got a Red Robin in Baton Rouge but I haven't been yet. My brother-in-law says it's not that great. I think we got a Five Guys about 2-3 years ago and I haven't been to it either. Because, cheap. Also my wife is inherently suspicious of new things.

Final bit of art from me.

One of those is definitely The Real Texas.

The real artery hardening doesn't start til you've had a few tacos, pretty sure my habit of going there when craving fake tacos has already knocked about 20 years off my life.

Pfft they can use the fakest meat they want as long as they keep those bastards 2 for $1, and not taco bell's stupid $1.19 a taco or whatever BS.
Well, I couldn't order one of those ridiculous tacos after I saw the picture of it on the sign with that absurd rectangle of cheese food sticking up out of the shell. That was one of the most retarded things I'd ever seen at a fast-food restaurant (and I used to inspect them).

We used to have a really good place here called Backyard Burger. We still have one but the other ones have been taken over by Hardee's. I f*cking hate Hardee's. I spent half-a-year working in a small town in rural southwestern Georgia that had exactly one chain joint: Hardee's. It was an interesting time in my life but I grew to utterly despise Hardee's.

And, yes, the food porn commercials really don't do them any favors in my book. Frankly the hamburgers in those commercials are not only loaded with stuff I wouldn't feed a dog but they're so obscenely large that a human-sized mouth couldn't possibly ingest it in that form; this may be why I find the term "thickburger" vaguely offensive because there's no other obvious reason. Or maybe there is: the 98 lb. models in those advertisements clearly don't actually eat that kind of food or they'd look like the rest of us.

Is it weird that I find all this discussion of fast food chains more interesting than anything else that has happened here in this thread over the past 4 months?

In case newbies are wondering why we're warning against G2A and similar sites on a regular basis, they're effectively re-sellers. Sure, you might well get a key that activates on your account without a hitch. But if it's been bought through dodgy channels (hello stolen credit card info!) then you can and will have the game removed from your account.
Also, they refuse to offer any customer service or refunds unless you install a client that lets some random G2A dude overseas view your desktop as you enter in the keys. Which is skeevey enough in its own right.

Here's something completely earth shattering.  ShinyLoot has a 20% off coupon you can use towards any games they sell including Pillars of Eternity and Cities Skylines according to their email.

i mean considering the difference in food quality in addition to the fact that red robin's shtick is they add a ton of extra toppings that, naturally, will increase the price of the burger, you can't really expect the price to be on par w/bk or mcd's.

Red robin isn't bad. Slightly overpriced but decent burgers and unlimited steak fries. With how much fast food burgers cost now it isn't crazy. It adds up with the $3 drinks and tip though.

Yeah the key is to just get water, which is what I always drink anyway. If you want to keep your bill down anywhere getting a water instead of a soda is a good way to do it.

Sweet.

The best part of when my girl was preggo was when we went out to eat she wasn't drinking and our bill would be much cheaper, she can drink a fair amount more than me.

Been playing my SketchyBro'd copy of PoE. Really great game so far, but not that far into it. Seems like a game that would have been worth it at full price or close to it.

I always do that, but don't force the wife & kids to. They're all in with the shakes, fruit teas & fancy lemonades. None of which get free refills. So yeah, about half the bill is just for fuck ing drinks. Doesn't help my mental state in the least. :wall: If I have to eat out, I'm a fan of the KFC $5 fill-up. That's a decent deal these days.

OT: Won a key on Steamgifts, so countdown to 1000 is now -3.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Fuddrucker's. That place is a bit pricey too but the burgers are really good and I like the whole "top it yourself" scene.

The problem with that is when you want all the toppings. The one near me used to have a 3 mini/slider plate on the menu and then I had 3 patties to work with. Last time I was there, they didn't have that and it's too hard to put 17 toppings and 13 condiments on a single burger.

If you want more deals check out Gamesrocket. Its legit and they email you with your serial code. If you live outside the United States and pay with paypal they sometimes might want further proof of id just to prevent fraud, scams, hackers and theft from happening. Some people have complained that they had to send in their passport with a photo Id but I believe most users like that are from outside the United States and not sure how often it happens. I can safely say I've bought from them twice already and have had no issues at all.

Here is there site: www.gamesrocket.com

They have some discounts even on the newest games you can't find anywhere else. Every so often they also have a thing called deal rockets; where they put a bunch of games on sale for a limited time.

I apologize for this double post. Apparently it won't let me delete a post I've created so had to type something in here lol.

Fuddruckers was my favorite burger joint for a long while, at least until I moved away and had to ~sniffle~ learn to forget about it.

My heart goes to Whataburger, now.

Side note, I forgot to pre-order Carl's new bundle. Oh, well, no +1's for me.

best burgers ever here.

if you are ever in the Chicago area and have some time to kill its a good place to do so, perhaps on the way to the airport as this is very close to O'Hare.  Only problem is they arent open all that much and are packed when they are.

Call me cynical, but it can't be a coincidence that both G2A and GamesRocket have been advertised in this thread lately.

No offense to you, but that sounds awfully like a pre-written sales pitch. You're less shady than the other guy though.
