Humble Bundle Thread

I hate preorders, but I moraned because I wanted LoG2 and don't have most of the games that have been teased. I figure I should be pretty safe either way, but if the bundle doesn't end up being better than it's been rumored to be so far I might not continue my subscription next month.

Yes. I'm not giving them $12 for some games that will be bundled a year later for $1. I'm no humble-tinted moran.

More that the first bundle has to be great to get the skeptical to jump on for month two. There will be disappointing monthly bundles, just not right away.

I'm in.

 
I bit. It looks like mostly games I don't have, and the couple of repeats are multiplayer so it won't kill me to gift them and get someone to play with.

The new subscriber bonus game thing is kind of goofy if they go through with it (Legend of Grimrock 2 takes that spot this month, next month it will be one from this month's bundle - Valkyria, Saints 4, etc.).

Why not just make a new account every month and rotate form of payment (if necessary)? There doesn't seem to be any incentive to stay subscribed at all.

Although I guess this is all idle speculation until we see how it actually works.

 
I feel like Grimrock 2 will be the best thing in this bundle, because it'd make sense to make the early unlock game the best thing you can offer to get maximum sales. Poopees does the same shit by making the background image for their preorders the best game in their bundles.

Of course, this won't work for the bundles after this one.. so who knows if that logic holds up.

Yeah, I don't get it....isn't that sort of a "punishment" for subscribers? "Oh look, December's bonus game is "Torchlight 2"...Got that in last months Monthly and already had it before that....Go me....er...yeah"

What is the incentive for me keeping my sub if they are giving me a repeat game?

Wait, do I have it backwards? You only get the repeat if you are already subscribed? Yeah, that makes even less sense.

 
Maybe the repeat will be the best game from the last bundle, meaning I should skip bundles.. yeah.. the repeat thing doesn't make a lot of sense

I bought the bundle.  The way I see it that is just two meals I will not get from Taco Bell.  Humble is helping me live longer, that makes this a great value!

I should start selling WWSD bracelets. I didn't subscribe to dis shitty bundle. SanctuaryRPG.. lol. Also, I was right. Grimrock 2 is the best game in the bundle.

Yeah. Color me somewhat surprised that SR IV is the base version. The bundle would look stronger with one of the other guessed games instead of SanctuaryRPG, of course. It's a good game, but it moves absolutely no needles. I see very few people looking at this list of games and kicking themselves for not subscribing, leading to a jump in new subscriptions.

I was almost certainly out for next month anyway, but I won't be torn about the decision now. I also think the every-other-month subscription I was initially considering is probably off the table.
