This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

This thread is under "Video Game Deals" so probably 95% of this thread is spam. That's just the honest truth. (Just like rcample's post that I just liked. :) )

I don't agree. Even rcsample's post was unique. 2c price drops are the same damn thing posted over and over and over again, which is a lot closer to spam than anything else posted in this thread. Personally, I don't mind it that much, but it probably legitimately does annoy some CAGs viewing the thread. Like Motoki said, it's obnoxious.. I don't think anyone's denying that.

Thinking that twenty posts of "OMG $33.xx!!!" is excessive doesn't require a philosophical debate or argument about the merits of this thread. It's just... you know... common sense.

Edit: To make it clear, I don't seriously care one way or the other. It's obnoxious but I'm not all worked up about it or anything. It's just ridiculous to act like you're doing it to "discuss a deal". It's just this day's forum joke.

Obviously, we are agreeing to disagree here but hopefully the conversation was a positive... Maybe I won't see pages of junk that annoys me in the future. (Like quoting a code drop in length to say thanks/took this when we have a like button and the ability to edit a quote. Ironically, Motoki finds that shit to be funny as hell.)

That said the jokes run it course in my opinion so I'm done with it.

While I don't think that everything that goes on here is spam, the "thanks" posts for key drops and at least half the shit MysterD says, because he says the same shit so damned much, are dangerously close to spam.

The 3 cent countdown is probably my fault though. I posted about it because I knew it would capture MysterD's OCD fetish and then the just want to watch the world thread burn types would egg him on.

Actually, I find the thanks post fucking annoying as hell, as I do the key droppers who do it instead of making people PM them. But people kept doing it to piss me off. You know how people are here, the minute you don't like something they do it even more to rub your nose in shit and laugh. So I just figured fuck it, if you can't beat em, join em and stopped stressing about it so much.

I still think it's annoying but PC CAGs gonna PC CAG. eh.

I already have the usual suspects on ignore, which unfortunately is about two thirds of the posters in this dump.

Unrelated, glad to see the Red Baron pack pop up in today's Every Monday. Stupid nostalgia had pushed that up to the top of my wishlist after seeing it pop up on Steam a week or two ago.

Having a run in with Motoki is the equivalent of a rite of passage here. It's our form of hazing. You should be thankful it doesn't involve whatever those kids on that basketball team did.
 
I fakeyed Dragon Dog's Ma last night (actually, that might be my next Greenlight RPG Maker title after Age of Dragons: Investigation) which is at Shady-Rocket for $21.  But I took a much more shameful approach and bought it for $24 from DLGamer because, once you spend $25 there you get 5% off all future purchases.  Mind you, I never buy anything from there and it'll probably be a lifetime before my theoretical 5% savings make up the extra $3 I spent but...

[Edit: Adding to said shame is that the price didn't even break the $25 barrier so I still need to make another 'full price' purchase before getting my 5% VIP discount.]

Also, I'm still not convinced but DLGamer's "About Us" and "FAQ" are one long screed about how they're not a shady key seller.  They make you do that whole ridiculous phone call verification thing that Shady-Rocket does so, I dunno, maybe it's a French thing or something.

If you pre-order Rise of the Tomb Raider from Uplay you get a free copy of Tomb Raider and Far Cry 4.  I know Nvidia codes can be had for around $30, but that's not the worst pre-order bonus thing I've ever seen.

Yeah, that's how I felt about it. 1 game has been free, and 1 game will be free, but the other games are a decent value. Better than Poopees, anyway, but I guess almost everything is these days.

 
Speaking of fakeybroing something... 

All the new footage from the Division that's out on youtube has me considering it much sooner than I had originally thought...  (Its more modern day Borderlands than CoD) 

Anyways, I likely won't bite...  but is anyone considering taking a bite?

These are my thoughts as well, but also with the suspicion it'll replace Six Siege as a free with purchase title soon and will likely be around $20 on release from resellers.

Yeah, with no titles in the series (obviously) on my steam list I'm not at all concerned about having it on Uplay over steam... (I do too much shopping away from my PC and don't always remember what I own so just installing it into my steam list doesn't do me allot of good.)

Yeah, certainly excited for the beta also. Granted, its coming out so late in the process it should be called something other than a beta... Sever stress test or something.

Free with hardware purchase. Six Siege and Ass Creed Syndicate were the promos for hardware stuff recently. I expect The Division to replace Six Siege in that.

Its a possibility for sure and has crossed my mind as well. I imagine we'll know for sure about this within a few weeks. They usually wont launch that shit more than a month before the game comes out. Obvs it does happen, but it doesnt seem to have happened lately.

10 pack of games for $1.59. Not the greatest selection, but it'll be +7 for me, with the added bonus of all having Steam Trading Cards. So should make a small profit. :)
