If the season pass was 75% off I probably woulda bit (© MysterD). Buttman is right though. I feel dirty considering rewarding the initial ineptitude by paying any money towards the game. I'm going to finally return to it though when I finish Tomb Raider. Not had it installed since the first patch.

Better to have it here on the PC than not.

If need be...modders like Durante can do wonders w/ lame-duck, feature-lacking, basic-as-can-be PC ports.

They're just walking away from the mess as best they can, I guess. If they're gonna give this little of a shit about it though, they need to drop the MSRP below console level, same with the season pass (it's $30 on consoles). Same with MKX.

Considering I've had Steam wallet card money for months and I bought absolutely nothing during the Winter sale, the temptation to fakeybro Firewatch is very real right now.

 
Finished Rise of the Tomb Raider. Overall excellent game. Its more of an action game under the Tomb Raider moniker than anything else, but its still done really well. Its one of the best looking games on PC period right now as far as Im concerned. Played/looked very well on my rig. Had to downgrade to a mostly high (or better) preset.

The first 9 or so hours right before the end game are more of the same from the 2013 game but were much more polished. There are a bunch of more tombs but they're easy to complete and lacking anything impressive beyond looks. Platforming is awesome in the game and I enjoyed climbing around and having to look for routes to get somewhere. Once you get into the end game it basically gets an adrenaline rush and just as an action game alone its pretty damn cool and very fun to play. I have 14 hours total in, 73% complete. May or may not try "Expeditions" mode which is a basically way of making regular levels in the story more arcadey, but prob wont. Will get story DLC/season pass when on sale.

Worth a play.

At least equal until the end game, then RotTR goes crazy action mixed with puzzles and platforming. Its quite well done. But the majority of the game before the end game Id say is equal to the last one. Some of the set pieces are awesome too.
