PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Yeah, having big collections of stuff is terrible. Only weirdos do that.

.........shut up.
I used to have a CD Collection like that, a ton of games on the shelf, etc. etc. Just doesn't do anything for me anymore. They just sit there and collect dust. It's obviously your thing to collect...just not for me anymore. I'd never tell anyone not to do what they love. Enjoy.

P.S. - Looks like you might need another shelf soon(ish).

EDIT: Oh and just so everyone here knows, I've been secretly building my Vita Collection....probably around 70 physical games. So yes even I am not 100% immune. Guess I just don't like looking at it anymore. All my Vita games are in a box and are pretty small.

Ate lunch at The cookout, this newish chain to the area.

Got a double bacon cheeseburger, a chicken quesadilla, a corndog, and an oreo milkshake.

$7.80

No, I will not be worth a damn at work the rest of the day.

Love Cookout, hit it every time I'm in NC. The cookout tray is probably the best value in fast food, pretty much all I get. Also, oreo shake with heath bar on top, thank me later.

I think he lives in Destiny now. Like no longer here on Earth. He has been assimilated. I always see him in Destiny whenever I look at my friends list.
Yeah, I don't think I've seen him not signed in or not in Destiny for almost a year. Makes me not feel as bad at how much time I've sunk into it.

If by soonish you mean "several months ago," then yeah, you're completely right. Considering how much crap I got for some dust, I'm not going to show you the stacks of other stuff that don't fit on the shelves that are just off camera. But I think the fact that there's so much stuff sitting on top of the shelves should be a good indicator.

My cd and record collection could rival munkys collection there. I've been trying to digitize my cd collection to hopefully reduce those and stick solely to buying vinyl, but my external hard drive I put them on isn't reading on my computer anymore. Haven't given up on it yet as I put in so many hours ripping cds.

I have a lot of physical games, but they are all there to play at some point. I have none I collect, and get rid of them as soon as I've beaten them or platted them.

Movies I've gotten rid of a lot in the last year or so when I realized 95% of the time I want to watch a movie I either rent a new release or find something on netflix. I have plans to hopefully digitize my dvd collection that I do have. A smart tv has made it easy to just watch my movies on vudu rather than putting a disc in

I havent used physical media (excluding games) in years and now that I have a TV that has Netflix built in I doubt I ever will again.  This TV takes longer to turn on than it does to then switch to Netflix and fire up a TV show.  Its really cool how fast and easy it is to stream everything right to the TV.  And it all looks great too with absolutely no stuttering or slowdown when I watch a show.   The only thing that happens from time to time is some graniness in the picture when it upscales the old barely HD Mad Men up to 4K.

Yeah I fought the all digital future early on but now I'm embracing it. I 100% understand the love for physical but I've just stopped and haven't looked back. With music it's a little different because of quality. MP3<CD<Vinyl. I think as it is now I just prefer the convenience of a digital world. Netflix, Spotify, etc.

How's the Replay: VHS whatever game for those that are playing it?
I like it so far. I've only made it a little into the second movie so far. Getting all the gold times will definitely take some time I think. But so far the puzzles haven't been overly difficult just to finish, with a couple taking a little more thought.

yeah its all about convenience. and well, I dont want stacks of shit piled up to the ceiling like whomevers house that was that had those dusty shelves Munky found.

My problem with streaming music is the fact you need a good Internet connection to listen to it anywhere as well as an affordable data plan if you're streaming it via mobile.

Anybody play errbody gone to the rapture? Thinking of getting it.
I've played through a couple of these walking simulators recently (Firewatch, Gone Home, Oxenfree, Everbody's gone to the Rapture) and Rapture was probably my least favorite (actually Oxenfree might have been my least favorite, but that's not important). The area you're exploring is huge and you spend way more time walking around in silence than you do getting story bits. And you walk reeeaaalllyyy ffffuuuccckkking sssslllllooooowwww (even with the hidden "run" button on L2). Those parts are boring, though I guess the graphics are nice. And I kept getting lost trying to find the next area that would trigger a story bit. The story is okay, but hard to follow. Not because it's complicated or anything, all dialogue is delivered from these spectral light looking things shaped like people. So all characters "look" the same. You have to keep track of who is who by recognizing their voice/keeping track of the names in the subtitles. There are a decent number of characters so I didn't know what the hell was going on a lot of the time. It seems like it is meant to be played a few times to catch everything, but fuck if I feel like walking 1.5 miles per hour through that huge environment again.

I was listening to the talk radio station (NOT NPR) this morning and they had Owen Benjamin on, a comedian. Pretty funny guy, but at one point someone mentioned he had a crutch on stage. I guess he plays piano or something so another comedian said that was his crutch when his act wasnt funny?

Anyway, Owen busted out with the old PSNOT favorite when talking about the other comedian.

"His face is a crutch!"... I imagined Zimm saying this and started giggling to myself like only a 12 year old can.
I saw him. He was damn funny. And I still think of some of his piano bits regularly. I would see him again if for nothing more than the piano portion of his set.

Yeah I have free Unlimited mobile data through work. I fear the day I leave this place and it goes away.

Finally finished those fucking drinking games in Watch Dogs. On a couple of those later levels where you have to control both sticks, I had to have my nephew control one while I did the other. My hands kept going stupid when I tried to do both.

I have Verizon mostly for the work discount as well as having the good network, but their data plans are ridiculous. $750/month for their largest one which isn't even unlimited

If you got those done it should be smooth (but grindy) sailing to the plat. I had to do the same thing to get them done. I also turned the controller upside down for the Reverse sections. My brain could not handle that shit.

Yeah, it's pretty much just story missions and about 11 fixer contracts left. I did every bit of the online stuff yesterday, outside of the hacking tutorial that counts from early in the game. It took forever to get into a race, so once I did I just stayed in the session and did 10 in a row.

Mother-you-know-whater!

Vig, I don't know how you got so lucky to get that Pure Bladestone drop in Demon's Souls. I've been farming this damn dual-wielding black phantom skeleton off and on all week with no luck. This is why I quit four years ago.

I started back up the other night and got the Chunk of Marrowstone I was missing for that trophy, and felt like my luck had changed. But no, this damn Pure Bladestone taunts me.

Time to catch up on the thread.

So is that Digimon game some of you are playing any good?
Only thing I'm not liking is the actual story takes so long to get to. I'm doing all the side missions as well though, cause some of them gives you expansions you need. It's got its grips on me a little more now that I have exp boosting items to go with my exp boosting digimon. Battles that should give around 1K exp are now giving me 18k or so. I still have room to improve that total as well.

There's a lot you can do with the digimon's skills and stats that makes it a little deeper than Pokemon. Such as evolving digimon into one form for a skill, devolving them, and then evolving them into a completely different form. I think I'm a little too advanced for where I am in the story, cause I've been cruising through all my battles. Online battles(usually get matched against good ai teams) and later tournaments are supposed to test your teams better.

If you have a Pokemon itch, or are a fan of digimon at all, you'll enjoy it.

I knew that the Pure Bladestone was going to be a bitch. I was playing co-op with Jayremedy and he drops a weapon and it was the upgraded pure Bladestone weapon. The trophy pops and he asks for it back. Of course I gave it back and he tells me he saved me a lot of time. I'll still have to farm it because I have the PAL and the Chinese/English versions so I can go for the triple platinum. I think Vig didn't farm too long for it when he played. I hope you get it sooner than later.

My inner Vig won out and I sent Shadow of Mordor GOTY off to Gamestop for a nice profit.  Also dumped Dying Light and will wait for a deal on the enhanced edition.

I went any digital with my music about 3 or years ago. I had to. I was just running out of room.

It certinally makes things more convenient for transporting your collection around.
Good thing Google Music added it's song limit from 20,000 too.

We have 2 60GB pools at work up to 25 devices per pool. We don't use even half of either pool. I have a smart phone and laptop with LTE on the plans. I don't use the LTE on the laptop too often but do use the data on my smart phone a decent amount. I wouldn't hesitate to stream music with it if I wanted. Video is the killer of data.

On way home tonight I streamed some Google Music since I had no podcast queued up.

I think we only pay around $225 per pool though. It was 30GB but they doubled it a few months ago for the same price.

Before that we had unlimited data but it wasn't shared pools. We pay less and have a lot more devices.
